EXCLUSIVE: Michelle Keegan Spills Her Top Shopping Tips

Michelle Keegan never gets it wrong when it comes to her sartorial choices. Whether it’s a luxe lady tux on the red carpet or laid-back Ibiza dressing, the former Coronation Street star leaves us pining for her ‘drobe every single time.

Which is why we jumped at the chance to grill the soap-star-turned-designer on her trusty shopping habits and to nab some tips on how to capture a slice of effortless Keegan cool by making savvy style choices of our own. Over to you, Mich!

Hi Michelle! First up – can we expect another Lipsy collection from you in the near future?

Yes! There are two more phases of Autumn/Winter to come and I have started working on the designs for Spring now.

What’s your favourite online shop?

I would say ASOS because the range is so varied and the actual set up on the website is easy to understand and navigate. They’re also very quick to deliver which always helps – oh and they stock my range with Lipsy so that’s even better!

Best store for bargains?

I think it has to be Zara on this one. Some of the pieces look really expensive when they only cost £25! Also, every week there is new stock on the rails and most of the time they do the same piece in a few different colours. I also like the fact you can take 7 pieces into the dressing room to try on because its annoying when you can only take a few in at a time!

Top accessorising tip?

Don’t over do the accessories. They need to complement your outfit, not swamp it ! Pick out a colour that is either part of your outfit or will accentuate it. I like to wear a statement hat sometimes – this can really finish a look off. Also try and find a pair of (comfy) heels that elongate your legs and don’t cut them off at the ankles, as that’s never a good look…

Any amazing jewellery haunts we should know about?

In the summer, and especially on the beach, I love to wear pearl jewellery and get mine from Pearlescence. They hand pick the pearls from Tahiti and China and I have a pearl anklet I adore from there – pearls suit my skin tone. I also love Sparkling Jewellery for quirky necklaces and Junk Jewels have some really cute midi rings and bracelets too.

Describe your typical lazy Sunday afternoon outfit…

Maybe a pair of jeans, a nice shirt and ankle boots… Once I’m out of my Sunday morning slouches!
