Game of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke has scored the ultimate fashion goal by landing British Vogue’s May cover, sealing her status as one of TV’s biggest style icons.

The star, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit show, looked just like her alter ego as she sported a platinum blonde wig rather than her natural brunette locks.

Wearing a seriously springy pale blue Dior couture gown, Emilia was the perfect choice for the issue and had us finally feeling like spring has sprung!

In the interview, she talks about the show’s big return to our screens (which happens this Thursday people, mark it in your diaries).

“I went back to Game of Thrones and it was like coming home. Just the smell of the hotel in Belfast made me feel safe…I told myself, forget the big game plan; all I want is to do jobs that make me happy.”

Shot by legendary photographer Paolo Roversi, Emilia also shows off her brunette tresses inside the magazine and dons some incredible designer frocks.

After shooting to superstardom, the star’s breakout role has led to her becoming one serious style icon, never failing to impress with her choice of ensembles.

Just a few weeks ago, we caught up with the gorgeous starlet as she chatted about what it’s like to work on the show and her excitement about what’s to come. Make sure to check that out here. And for some hot high street fashion, see today’s TheFashionDrop.
