We’re Obsessing Over McQueen’s Fashion Fairytale in Paris

Alexander McQueen is always one of the last shows on the fashion schedule and it’s known to be a spectacular finale, boosting the spirits of a very tired fashion crowd. And head designer Sarah Burton did not disappoint this season, transporting us to a mystical fashion landscape that was one of the most beautiful collections we’ve seen this fashion month.

There were amazing embroidered coats, soft white fur collars, girlie smock dresses in broderie anglaise and cute pussy-bow details. Unlike previous McQueen collections, there wasn’t a corset in sight – instead there were more relaxed silhouettes and trapeze-shaped dresses.

We could not stop admiring the long, feathered evening gowns in midnight hues, the delicate organza and the ribbon-lace boots with fur trims. In short, it was everything we’d ever need for our own fashion fairytale. What a way to end Paris Fashion Week
