Thanks to Shay Cherise of TheNuVogue, people have been creating their very own sock boots inspired by Yeezy's knitted designs. But would *you* dare...?
With New York Fashion Week bringing out the very best fash’ moments from the likes of Kim Kardashian-West and Kylie Jenner – and let’s not forget that helping from Kanye West’s latest Yeezy show – we’ve been left coveting one item in particular.
Yup. The sock boot is nothing new, having first hit our radars (and Instagram feeds) last year.
But thanks to the Kardashian ladies and one very clever at-home tutorial – which we’ve seen doing the rounds on social media this week – we’ve fallen again. And we’ve fallen hard.
Yeezy’s women’s knit boots are far from friendly on the bank balance, but one fashion YouTuber has come up with a handy hack for creating your own – using a pair of trusty court shoes and a pair of socks.
Shay Cherise of TheNuVogue shared a video entitled: ‘DIY YEEZY SOCK HEELS’, along with a list of what you’ll need, Blue Peter-style:
Hot glue gun
The video, which sees the custom designer pulling some knitted socks over her trusty heels, soon started being shared across a number of different Instagram pages, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
We mean, it is very clever. And she makes it look so easy.
But if you’re not quite brave enough to step out in the handmade version, the high street is also flooded with some pretty impressive designs…
Let us know what you think of this handy hack in the comments below.
