Diane Von Furstenberg Hosts Girls Night With Gigi And Kendall

We don’t know about you, but partying with the likes of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss is something that only exists in our dreams – until now. In place of her usual New York Fashion Week runway show, Diane Von Furstenberg staged an immersive ‘dance party’ attended by Gigi, Kendall, Karlie, Jourdan and a whole load of other supers. We KNOW.

The celebrations went down at the iconic wrap dress designer’s Meatpacking District HQ, with the girls dancing to Whitney, snapping selfies and leading impromptu disco trains. Gigi even started a sing-a-long with make-up brushes serving as microphones. Now THAT’S a girl after our own heart.

And while we LOVED watching it all go down via the wonders of this little thing we like to call Instagram, there was a little more to DVF’s thinking than cocktails and congas.

“The most important thing is to speak to the consumer and give the message to the consumer when they most need it,” she says.

She adds that “creating intimacy” with the customer is key to a successful 21st century brand.

“We want our clothes to be every woman’s best friend, this is a way to realise that,” she says.

As for her model army, this was certainly a Valentine’s Day (or should we say, Galentine’s Day) to remember.

Lily Aldridge explains: “This show was amazing. I was with my girls. It was very fun. I’m so thankful they had me.

“We like to have fun. We like to dance. It was a really special night. I have to say it was one of the most special memories because it was so different for us and it was really nice.”

Erm, understatement of the year?!

Here’s to hoping this won’t be the last star-studded soiree we’re invited along to (in the social media sense, obvs).
