Chrissy Teigen and her wonderful views on the world just keep getting better by the day.
Remember that stretch mark selfie that celebrated our imperfections? Yep, that was Chrissy. ‘Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!’, the Sports Illustrated model wrote next to her snap. Just amazing.
And when she said she’s banning Instagram filters as it warps people’s views of ‘perfect celebrities?’ Yep, it’s her unapolagetic, no-nonense and quite frankly, hilarious, chat that has us falling more and more in love with Chrissy by the day. And in her next girl power move, she’s been busy defending Kim Kardashian.
Remember when Kim was pregnant with North and was subjected to a slew of magazine covers comparing her to a sea mammal? And when her Met Gala maternity dress was totally slated for making her bump look even bigger? Yep, well Chrissy saw her differently. In fact, Chrissy thought she was beautiful.
Speaking with hubby John Legend in the new issue of Du Jour about her pregnancy inspiration, the supermodel said: ‘We want a lot of kids. I would love to have three or four of my own, and then adopt a few. So basically I’ll be pregnant the rest of my life.’
‘You look at Kim [Kardashian] and see how women’s bodies just become so beautiful,’ she added. ‘[The thought] of getting boobs thrills me. And John loves pregnant women, so…’ Yes, Chrissy!
Kim’s response to the constant weight jibes at the time of her pregnancy was equally as fiesty. ‘Anyone who has had a baby knows how your body totally changes’, she wrote on Twitter. ‘Making fun of me pregnant and making fun of me trying to lose weight now, shame on you. Im not perfect but I will never conform to your skinny standards, sorry! Don’t give young girls a complex.’ Amen, honey.

Jaime King is another celebrity lady who has since come to Kim’s rescue on the matter, sharing a naked pregnancy photo on Instagram in Kim’s honour and explaining her decision afterwards.
‘Here was this beautiful glowing pregnant woman who is probably so excited to be attending the Met ball for the first time with the man that she loved’, she told ELLE about Kim. ‘And she has a beautiful growing child inside of her, and yet everybody bashed her and called her a whale or said she looked like a couch or drapes.’
‘I remember going back in my hotel room and crying for like five hours because I kept seeing all these things come up online, all of these horrible pictures and GIFs.’
Amazing work for the sisterhood, ladies. Keep it up.
