Following in the footsteps of fellow TOWIE stars Lucy Mecklenburgh and Sam Faiers, Chloe Lewis has just unveiled her first foray into the world of fashion design. Yep, the reality star was first announced as the face of Little Mistress back in August, and now her very first collection with the brand is here.

So what’s on offer? There’s utlity jumpsuits, lace midis, tie-up crop tops and even floral culottes to choose, and with prices starting at just £26, there really is something for everyone. We caught up with the stylista to find out more about the inspiration behind her designs, her personal style, and what it’s like being a TOWIE star…

What made you want to work with Little Mistress?

I really liked the fact that across their three brands (Little Mistress, Girls on Film and Paper Dolls), there was something for every occasion, from casual day wear to red carpet glamour and everything in between, which is pretty much my wardrobe summed up! I had always worn bits and bobs from their collections anyway, so it was a real bonus when they asked me to work with them on developing my own collection, after I had only been on TOWIE for one season.

Which piece is your favourite? And how would you style it?

The Khaki culottes are such a good staple piece and floral shirt with slits in the arms. I am going to style that with a light weight leather jacket and some strappy heels.

What’s it like having a say in the designs?

I worked as a fit model for various fashion companies for years, and there were always pieces I would personally have changed, so now it’s nice I can finally have my own say through my own collection!

Who would you love to see wearing your designs?

I would love to see Myleene Klass in my collection as I think she is a fab role model for girls.

Little Mix would look great in the ‘Girls On Film’ range and I can see Holly Willoughby & Kimberley Walsh in the Paper Dolls dresses. The Little Mistress pieces are all about red carpet glamour and dressing up for something special, so there’s something for everyone, for every occasion!

Were you inspired by any catwalk trends for the new season?

Yes I made sure I was influenced by the new catwalk trends but I also like to go with some classic shapes and styles I think would flatter all women. It’s amazing as I think the collection had such a wide variety.

Which outfit would you wear on a date night?

Perfect date night outfit would have to be the cobalt blue dress; it has a square neck line. I got inspiration from a LBD that Alexa Cheung wore.

Valentine’s Day is on the horizon – what would be your ideal date?

I always think that a remake of a scene on Parent Trap scene on the QE2 boat. When that song ‘I love you’ plays. Maybe my sister Abbey & her partner could be the waiter’s lol! That’s would be so funny! Oh and date-wise… Jake, of course!

Do you remember the first dress you ever bought?

I remember buying a red & cream polka dot dress & I had matching red shoes to go with. I loved it!

What’s the most amazing outfit/dress you’ve ever worn?

The best dress I’ve ever worn would have to be my 21st dress. I had it made and it was pastel pink in colour, the basque was covered in feathers with a silk jersey from the hips down. I may even rock it out on TOWIE again!

If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Whilst I do love getting dressed up, I would probably something classic; I love a t shirt, jeans jacket and trainers, you can’t go wrong.

Which outfit from your past do you wish you could take back and never have worn?

I always look back and think ‘what was I wearing’! But I guess that’s the thing with fashion – things come in and out of style, and at the time, it probably seemed like a good look!

Who’s your biggest style inspiration?

Tough call between…Olivia Palermo & Olivia Culpo.

What piece in your wardrobe could you not live without?

My khaki trench coat from Girls on Film; it saves me every time I go out!

You shot the campaign in South Africa- why did you choose that location?

South Africa had everything we needed to reflect the vibe of the collection; we shot swimwear on the beautiful beaches and the vibrant Bo-Kaap district was the perfect backdrop for the bright, summery styles.

On a personal level, I was super happy with the choice of location, as I have always wanted to go and it really was an amazing trip! I’ll definitely be going back for a holiday.

Since being on TOWIE you must get recognised a lot- how do you deal with that?

I have only just started getting used to be recognised… It’s very strange, but it’s nice to have so much positive support at the same time.

Do you share style tips with the other girls on TOWIE?

We all have our own styles, so we share each other’s.

Did any of the other TOWIE girls have any input in your designs?

No they didn’t have a direct input, but I definitely always have them in mind when designing the pieces… so you could say they did, in a roundabout way!

Your boyfriend is also a designer- did he give you any tips or advice at all?

Jake is really good when it comes to fashion, he knows the trends before they come out, so yes his insight was super helpful throughout this process. He was a good sounding board, and I appreciated his advice.

How has your life changed since appearing on TOWIE?

My life has changed so much in so many ways! I’m very grateful to have been given this opportunity. So many good things have come from it, and having my own clothing line with Little Mistress is just the start of what I hope is another great year!
