It sounds like Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has taken over from Simon Cowell as this year’s X Factor‘s tough judge.
The 32-year-old has insisted that she won’t be taken in by male contestants’ good looks. Instead, she’s all about the talent.
‘I’ve put people through in previous years because I thought they were adorable. But I won’t do that now. It’s not fair,’ Cheryl tells the Daily Star.
It seems as though Chezza is already keeping her word. She’s apparently turned down one ‘adorable’ young man because he wasn’t right for the competition.
Eek. Good luck, fellas!
Cheryl’s had us excited about her X Factor 2015 outfits since we learnt she was joining the judging panel again. And she hasn’t disappointed so far.
The singer’s latest look from the weekend’s auditions comprised of a super cute monochrome striped co-ord, made up of a sleeveless shirt and matching skirt, all topped off with a bright red mani.
Sharing a snap of her and fellow judge Nick Grimshaw, Cheryl wrote: ‘Fast forward Friday to Me, The Grim @nicholasgrimshaw and @ritaora’s chair bc we missed her yesterday #evolution #2015era.’
And the auditions were certainly dramatic, as the former Girls Aloud star reportedly slammed a contestant for her quip about cheating. Uh oh.
The 32-year-old, who was plagued with cheating rumours whilst with ex-husband Ashley Cole, is said to have asked a middle-aged duo at the live auditions if they had husbands before starting up their act.
One replied: ‘No, well not one of my own!’ But it didn’t tickle Cheryl. ‘In future, don’t make jokes about stealing peoples’ husbands’, she retorted. Miaow. Do NOT mess with Mrs FV.

Last week, Cheryl unveiled her first X Factor look of 2015. And it was a goodun.
The judge arrived for the Manchester auditions in an all-black outfit, matching a pair of statement flared trousers with a strappy crop top, which revealed her incredibly flat stomach.
The top featured grommet detailing, which offset the large silver hoops in Cheryl’s ears.
And if you’d wondered why Cheryl looked particularly leggy, the star has revealed the secret behind her statuesque look…
Sharing a snap of her sky high velvet Louboutins with the biggest platform we’ve ever seen, the singer wrote: ‘The secret behind my sudden growth spurt #xfauditions day 1.’
So that’s where she got those extra inches from! If there’s one thing Cheryl knows, it’s making the most of a girl’s assets. Respect. (Mainly for not toppling over in those bad boys).
We’ve also been treated to the first picture of the full judging line-up for X Factor 2015, which shows the show’s new (and old) famous faces all together for the first time.
In the promo shot, a beaming Cheryl sits next to Rita Ora (oozing ’70s sex appeal in that retro red dress) , with Simon Cowell and Grimmy either side of them. And oh, hello Caroline and Olly aka. Dermot’s new replacements! What a line-up.
At the auditions before the snapshot was taken, the judges got busy greeting the hundreds of fans as they made her way into the venue, happily stopping to sign autographs and pose for photos.
Like Cheryl, Nick Grimshaw also chose a dark ensemble for his first day on the panel, which had been delayed due to the sad death of Simon Cowell’s mother.
He wore black skinnies, a patterned shirt and a cool leather jacket. His hair was in its statement quiff and he’d trucked his trews into a pair of pointed boots.
How excited does he look?! We can’t *wait* to see what kind of judge he’ll make.
Rita Ora – Nick’s fellow newbie – sported a monotone red look, working a belted red mini with knee-high patent boots.
Presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs arrived on the red carpet together. Ooh. Doesn’t it just feel like 2011 again?!
Cazza and Olly – who used to host The Xtra Factor – seemed VERY happy to be working together again, adorably hugging and laughing in front of the cameras.
Caroline, 34, rocked a cute smart-casual look, which consisted of an oversized leopard-print shirt and skintight jeans.
She glammed things up with a slick of red lipstick and had straightened her ombre bob into a super-blunt style. So chic.
Speaking of The Xtra Factor, the spin-off’s new presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom were also in Manchester.
In contrast to the judges, they were working co-ordinated white shirts and jeans.
Very summery, guys!
