Celebs Go ’70s At Marc Jacobs
It was A-listers a-go-go at the a/w ’11 Marc Jacobs show in New York yesterday. We spotted Anna Wintour with her daughter Bee Shaffer, Fergie, Vanessa Hudgens and Whoopi Goldberg – yes, really – perched on the front row, but it was Leighton Meester and Karen Elson who stole the show, decked out in amazing ’70s-inspired pieces from Marc Jacob’s s/s ’11 collection – we’d recognise those rich rusty shades and retro details a mile off. Leighton pulled off that tricky mid-length thanks to Christian Louboutin’s ‘Salsbourg’ sandals (Chloë Sevigny has them too – we spy an ‘It’ shoe!) while Karen Elson gets fashion kudos for wearing a harem jumpsuit the exact same shade as her fiery locks.
