Cat Deeley Leads The Glam Pack At The Bafta TV Awards 2011
Britain’s hottest export Cat Deeley certainly set the style standard at the Bafta TV Awards 2011. She may have snubbed summer’s key bright colours for classic black, but the TV presenter smouldered in her lace Christian Dior gown and heirloom-style jewels. Model Daisy Lowe followed suit colour-wise, upping the va va voom with a sheer Craig Lawrence number – accessorised with a sultry pout and Doctor Who beau Matt Smith. But bringing a totally different dose of glamour to the red carpet were The Only Way Is Essex girls, who out-glitzed the other attendees with more sequins than you can shake a stick at. Sam Faiers’ monochrome Diane Von Furstenberg floor sweeper gets our Best Dressed Essex Girl vote. They’ll be glad they pulled out all the stops after TOWIE was the surprise hit of the night, taking home the YouTube Audience prize, beating Downton Abbey and My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Something tells us we’ve not seen the last of the Essex lot. GG
