In case you missed it, Cara Delevingne was at the White House last week.
Why was she there? To talk about climate change, obv. But it was her outfit that has now sparked a bit of a debate…
We all know that the 23-year-old is known for her laid-back, tomboy-esque style. But when she rocked up in a black coat, bare legs and a pair of sold-out Puma Rihanna creepers, people weren’t too impressed.

In the Instagram snaps Cara shared with all of her fans, she’s seen bouncing around the Oval Office and White House grounds in her casual get-up, jumping and posing on her tippy toes.
‘Let’s see how you feel about climate change in 10 years Mr Trump! It is painfully real,’ she wrote alongisde one snap of her balanced on her toes. ‘Also, can Donald Trump do this???? #itrumptrump #ichallengetrump #climatechangeexistsfool.’
And after a few surprised comments about Cara’s choice of attire were bandied around the Internet, Marissa Mitrovich, a former government-affairs executive who runs the fashion and politics blog Politiquette, has now slammed the model.
‘I am a big believer that you should respect the setting you are in. And when you are at the White House for a business meeting, I say you do not wear sneakers’, she told The Washington Post.
But what did Cara’s fans think? Well, as usual, they had nothing but respect for the catwalk strutter.
‘Lol at the people upset about Cara Delevingne wearing sneakers to the White House’, laughed one.
‘Only Cara Delevingne would pull off wearing pumas to the white house’, praised another.
