Following on from the success of sharing their SS16 LFW presentation via Snapchat, Burberry have decided to once again use this social media platform to give fashion fans exclusive behind the scenes access.
This time the British brand are offering Snapchat users a sneak peek at the production of their spring 2016 ad campaign. Burberry have enlisted the help of Mario Testino to shoot the campaign, and the renowned photographer will publish photo and video content in real-time to the brand’s Snapchat account throughout filming this Thursday. In Snapchat tradition the content will disappear after 24 hours.
The cover star for this campaign has yet to be announced but with previous faces including Cara Delevigne and Romeo Beckham we know we’re in for a treat.
Mark your diaries, the fun starts on Thursday 22nd October at 5pm.
Remember when Burberry shared their SS16 show via Snapchat? We’ve got all the details…
Burberry’s catwalk show is always an exclusive affair at London Fashion Week, with more A-listers on the FROW than we can count. But for SS16, the brand decided to invite us all to see the new collection – and all from the comfort of our own homes. Yep, Snapchat have revealed the new Burberry collection live from the British label’s design studio in London – and it’s amazing (obviously).

We have a feeling the rucksack is going to be the new must-have item for the new season – monogrammed of course!
The collection also features lots of colourful lace, black laser-cut mesh, unbelievably beautiful floral embroidery and even a dash of glittery sparkle. We’re officially obsessed.
We might have seen the clothes now, but it doesn’t end there – the Burberry Live Show will last for 24 hours, and includes a Snapchat-curated mix of everything from backstage antics to the red carpet, giving us all an insider’s view of the show. This isn’t the first time that Burberry has worked with the social platform; the likes of Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn popped up on Snapchats from the ‘London in LA’ show earlier this year.
Expect to witness multiple celebrity appearances; Sienna Miller, Suki Waterhouse, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell are regulars at Burberry’s shows, not to mention the all-star supermodel line-ups that regularly grace the runway. The Burberry shows are also known for their live music performances, and this season will see Alison Moyet take to the stage alongside a 32 piece orchestra to provide the soundtrack.
Christopher Bailey said: “With Snapchat, [founder] Evan Spiegel has created a phenomenal platform that captures the spirit of a moment. We are excited to be working with him to launch the Burberry Snapchat Show allowing a unique, real time view of the creation of our show which will include an unprecedented collection premier hours before it hits the runway.”
Make sure you’re following @burberry on Snapchat to see the entire new collection right now, and to keep up to date with everything that’s happening backstage and on the catwalk!
