Frayed Edges – The New Way To Do Denim

In case you hadn’t noticed, interesting denim is having a major moment on planet fashion… Yep, we’ve already spied patches and pearls, rips and roll-ups updating our fave blue fabric this season, but now the latest and greatest denim look stealing the street-style spotlight is all about frayed, raw edges.

On dresses, tops and coats, as well as jeans, distressed frayed edges give a new lease of life to tired denim. The trend was championed on the catwalks by hot newbie designer Marques Almeida and has not only been spotted on some serious fash-pack players, but is also making waves among the A-list, with Miranda Kerr and Eliza Doolittle rocking frayed blues.
