So it seems all the nostalgic posts about the Full House remake, Fuller House, may have tugged on Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s heart strings and they may be returning to the show that made them famous after all!
After Netflix made the exciting announcement that they will be remaking ‘Full House’, calling it ‘Fuller House’, everyone got all excited that the twins would be returning but then a devastating statement from Fuller House executive producer Robert L. Boyett said once and for allthat MK and Ashley won’t be in the new cast.
‘Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of ‘Fuller House,’ I know how much ‘Full House’ has meant to them and they are still very much considered family’, he said.
‘It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards ‘Fuller House.”
But now, in a VERY EXCITING U-TURN, it seems it wasn’t so set in stone after all. Because now, according to a tweet from Huffington Post’s TV critic the pair are ‘teetering’ on deciding whether they will appear.
The famous fashion designers behind The Row and Elizabeth and James first shot to fame at just nine months old when they starred as Michelle Tanner in the sitcom and then went on to become seriously succesful child stars.
In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, the twins fuelled hopes that they would be joining the cast for the exciting reunion – well, they didn’t rule it out and that’s enough for us mega fans to believe it will happen.
“I’m shocked I haven’t heard from John!…We just found out about it today. I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening,” Mary-Kate explained.

Ashley went on to say that she is going to find out what’s happening from her on-screen Dad, Bob Saget. “I ran into Bob the other day and we didn’t even talk about it. I’m going to call and get his perspective.”
Although they haven’t acted since 2011, it seems like the ladies aren’t opposed to making an exception for the show that made them famous. Whether they will appear in the whole 12-part series seems unlikely, but we definitely have our fingers crossed for a Michelle Tanner appearance in the one hour series premiere and boy does this give us an excuse for a full on ’90s Olsen retrospective.
Now we can only hope there’s a ‘Two Of A Kind’ remake in the works too….
