Amber just gave us some major party dress envy

Amber Heard Pulls Off The Best ’90s Look We’ve Seen

Amber Heard re-ignited our love for everything ’90s last night as she attended the Tiffany & Co. 2015 Blue Book Collection celebration dinner. Well, we say everything ’90s, but there wasn’t an obscene hair scrunchie in sight. Instead, Amber re-wrote the rules in a beautifully contemporary way, showing us all why we need to invest in a slip dress this spring.

In a long, pale orange silk slip, nude sandals and a Stella McCartney clutch, Amber made us feel more than slightly ashamed of some of our own ’90s vibes. It seems the answer is to keep it slick with clean lines and a touch of added sparkle for some grown-up polish. Not to mention those beachy waves and a definitive slick of red lipstick.

Speaking of sparkle, we cannot get enough of the new Mrs. Johnny Depp’s jewellery choices. Evoking old-Hollywood glamour (Elizabeth Taylor, anyone?) with that necklace and earrings, we’re pretty sure she stole the show at the Tiffany event, where she caught up with Olivia Wilde (looking sensational in Marchesa) and Reese Witherspoon.

While Amber may be the only lady brave enough to opt for orange, there are plenty of hues on the high street to give your slip dress a colourful update. From Topshop’s emerald, square-neck midi to Boohoo’s cage-back beauty, there are plenty of options to give your wardrobe some serious game right now. Simply pair with nude sandals and your best costume gems, and you’re good to go.

The best news is you can even wear your slip for daytime, too, by layering over a white tee (so Drew Barrymore circa ’97). And if you’re really feeling brave, pair with your Converse. We reckon even Amber would approve of that…
