Alexander McQueen Will Continue Trading

It has been confirmed this morning that PPR, the parent company of Gucci Group, will continue to trade the Alexander McQueen label, following the designer’s tragic death last week. PPR chairman and chief executive Francois Henri-Pinault simply said: “You understand, the Alexander McQueen trademark will live on,” and described McQueen as a “pure genius” and “poet”. Whether the autumn/winter 2010 show will go ahead at Paris Fashion Week 2010 is still unknown at this point, but we’re just happy to hear the McQueen legacy will live on. GG
