Alexa Chung Hits The Scottish Fashion Awards 2012
As host of the Scottish Fashion Awards 2012, all eyes were on Alexa Chung when she took to the red carpet at the star-studded fashion bash in Glasgow. Always sartorially spot on, the fashionista chose a floral brocade frock by Scot Christopher Kane, who picked up the gong for ‘Scottish Fashion Designer of the Year’. Alexa added a signature offbeat (and weather appropriate) spin to the SS12 dress, layering it over an embellished white shirt from the collection.
Dionne Bromfield, who provided the evening’s entertainment, brought a tribal touch to the red carpet in her super cute Holly Fulton feather trimmed mini and popping red peep toes, while winner of ‘Scottish Model of the Year’ Tali Lennox looked pretty as a princess in a pale pink and silver beaded Nicholas Oakwood Couture gown. Super stylish Scot Karen Gillan was also honoured at the event, picking up the award for ‘Scottish Fashion Icon’ and looking every inch the part in a cool yellow and black shirt dress, plum lips and a blunt fringe.
D&G model David Gandy and Made In Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh also turned out to see iconic model Stella Tennant be inducted into the ‘Scottish Fashion Awards Hall of Fame’ and Mulberry take home the ‘International Designer of the Year (for use of a Scottish fabric), while enjoying limited edition Holly Fulton goodie bags chock full with treats from Swarovski, St. Tropez, Spanx and Radley. Not bad for a Monday night out! GG
