On anyone else, a shiny silver laser cut coat and co-ordinating heels may be a celebrity fashion no-no, but this is Alexa Chung we’re talking about, and the outfit in question is hot-off-the-designer catwalk SS12 Marc Jacobs. Yep, Alexa Chung isn’t all about girlie smocks, breton tops and brogues, as she proved at an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in New York yesterday. Not only has she convinced us that double metallics are doable, we’re also considering a serious return to the pointy shoe – as well as Marc Jacobs, they made a comeback in designer fashion collections at Louis Vuitton, Erdem and Sportmax.
