The New Fifty Shades Of Grey Book Has Been Stolen

Just days after the big announcement of a whole new Fifty Shades book – we’re still getting over the excitement – it’s been reported that there’s been a pretty major bump in the road.

It has been reported that a copy of the final manuscript has been stolen.  Yes, really.

This morning BBC News reported that the police have launched an investigation after the publishers discovered that a copy of Grey had gone missing.

Uh-oh.

We’re pretty sure that fans all over will be trawling through eBay on the hunt for these hot pages.

A spokesperson has simply said: “We have no comment to make due to an ongoing police investigation.”

Fingers crossed that the copy is found safely, and the official release goes without a hiccup.

We were getting upset that we’d have to wait until 2017 for our next dose of Fifty Shades magic, but author E.L. James threw a major curveball, with the news that a new version of the book is about to hit stands.

A new take on the iconic novel is being released this month, which will be written from the perspective of Christian Grey.

The new book, entitled Grey, will be published on June 18th, to coincide with Christian’s birthday.

In a statement, James said: “This book is dedicated to those readers who asked…and asked… and asked… and asked for this.”

She went on: “Christian is a complex character,” she added, “and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place-writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage.”

The movie of the first film smashed box office records, and the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, is set to hit cinemas in February 2017.

Universal Pictures have released their very first teaser of the hotly (key word) anticipated follow-up film.

Don’t say we never give you anything.

It shows Christian Grey on his own – definitely no complaints here – dressing for the masked ball, with the tag line, “Are you ready for something darker?”

We can hear audiences worldwide screeching ‘YES!’ as we type.

The second story in the series may seem far away, but the teaser – which is seeing us through – was released as part of the Fifty Shades of Grey Blu-ray collection. Great news, you can now pre-order it. Are you ready to put those Christian scenes on repeat?

After the novel, written by E. L. James, gained a cult-like following, the announcement of the movie created a tidalwave of hysteria. Smashing records at the box office, the first movie in the series was released just in time for Valentine’s day this year.

Single girls and couples alike swarmed to the big screens in order to experience the thrills. Guys, we’re sorry, but it’s just something that had to be done.

The follow-up tales will stick to this theme, with Fifty Shades Darker set for release on February 10th in 2017. The last in the series, Fifty Shades Freed, will come out on the 9th February, 2018.

They’ve got this Valentine’s thing down.

Coincidentally, today is the real life Christian Grey’s birthday. Our favourite Irish actor, Jamie Dornan, turns 33 today. If you feel you need a little more of a fix, you can read our round-up of 10 Things You Need To Know About Jamie Dornan.

There’s pictures too, ladies.

Laters, baby…
