Alexa Chung's Shiny Loafers Make Us Want To Tap Dance

Alexa Chung has shiny new shoes. And they're making us very happy.

The British model is known for her love of a statement brogue, and her new pair of patent loafers from luxury Italian shoe label House Of Meandher are all kinds of gorgeous.

This season, loafers have seriously upped their game and have popped up on high street in a whole host of luxe new guises – Office is awash with gold and silver metallic styles, while tassels and longer pointed toes are also en vogue.

We love the long slim silhouette of Alexa's Lady Valentinas, but with a pricetag of £236, we suggest spending a little less and opting for Next's new Black Patent Loafers (£30) instead.

A loafer style ballerina shoe with hip brogue detail, these beauties are the perfect go-with-everything pair and are packed full of mannish cool. Wear with a floaty floral thigh-skimming frock for the ultimate boy/girl clash.

Alexa Chung is the queen of LBDs and so it came as no surprise that she rocked up to the Serpentine Summer Party in this chic Erdem frock. We love the cutwork detailing along the hem.

Street Style: ’90s Minimalism Returns

Check out these street style fashionistas ’90s minimalism style

The ’90s are having a real moment right now. So far we've seen mules, crop tops and flannel shirts make a return, and now it's the turn of that old catwalk favourite, minimalism.

We’ve spotted a range of grunge-inspired fashionistas who wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Nirvana video working the look. First up is Angharad, and we’re loving her mix of ripped denim and casual Topshop sliders with an Asos slip dress layered on top – even her hair is ’90s-inspired with a centre parting! A sure-fire casual cool way to stand out in style.

However, if the weather’s too hot to rock separates why not get inspiration from Samantha, who's taken the ’90s vibe to the extreme by teaming her on-trend lace-up Primark boots with a simple but chic H&M dipped-hem chiffon dress. The barely there make-up and subtle wave in her hair may seem basic, but this aspiring stylista has nailed the minmalist trend in one!

With such an easy trend to master we’re heading straight to the high street for an instant style overhaul.

The Summer Skirt The Celebs Love – Shop It Now!

Audrina Patridge and Rosie Fortescue rock the latest skirt trend

It’s time to take inspo from your sexy undies and transform your outerwear with this summer’s most seductive skirt – the lace pencil. From Hollywood hottie Audrina Patridge to our very own MIC star Rosie Fortescue, fashionistas have shown how to effortlessly strut the new ‘It’ skirt in style this week. The lace skirt is the ultimate investment to take you from day to night – casualise (the new buzzword for dressing down – find out more in this week’s issue of LOOK) it by throwing on a denim shirt and skate shoes or glam up by night with leather and killer heels.

For the perfect pairing, opt for lace co-ords like Audrina and Rosie. Audrina’s nailing summer white with her matching white shell-hem design, while Rosie pulls off grunge the glam way in a cute bralet and Topshop pencil combo.

Want to get in on the act? Topshop’s wow-worthy limited-edition silver number (below, left) with a glossy swirl overlay is totally worthy of the £95 price tag, while Miss Selfridge's lilac option brings a splash of subtle colour for just £35. The elastic top will also work wonders at cinching in your waist, too. Sold!

Louise Thompson Works Topshop's Lace Bralet Two Ways

Louise Thompson recently snapped up Topshop's Lace Bralet (£22) in not one, but two colours, and she's been busy working them into her vampy evening wardrobe.

We all know the underwear as outerwear trend is here to stay. But the Made In Chelsea beauty has just given us a stylish lesson in working bralets outside of the bedroom with class.

Teaming the white version with a high volume metallic gold skater skirt provided Louise with one hot texture clash, while a long cream blazer thrown over the top made the perfect classy cover-up.

Ms T then worked head-to-toe monochrome flashing the lacy bralet in black under a boxy white scalloped jacke, finishing off with a black mini skirt.

There are so many ways to work this hot little lingerie staple – if you're feeling brave, team with white slim-fit cigarette trousers and killer stilettos for a sexy boardroom-to-bar look.

Or if that much ab-flashing makes you feel slightly queasy, make like Weez and pair with a flattering high-waisted skater skirt and add bomber for a little sports luxe edge.
