Meet The Pastel Flats We’re Seriously Crushing On

Lavender slippers from celeb-loved Parisian shoe brand Chatelles

We told you about our (and Rosie Fortescue’s) new shoe discovery Chatelles just last month, and after seeing their new summer styles, we’re even more smitten.

The effortlessly chic celeb-loved Parisian label has re-worked their signature slipper in an array of summer-perfect pastel shades and canvas finishes. Like a bag of Mini Eggs in fashion form, the pale pink and popping lavender lovelies are top of our shoe wish list.

For an homage to the Burberry SS14 catwalk, team them with skirts and tops in clashing pastel shades, or use them to pretty up your trusty ripped jeans and tee weekend combo. Well, if they’re good enough for the Chelsea set…

Get Your Gingham On With Tips From These Cool Street Stylers

Street stylers working gingham

Gingham has gone high fashion for spring, and we simply can’t get enough of it. It started creeping onto our fashion radar a while ago, and now we’re ready to commit to a full-on check. Which is exactly why we’re loving the work of our Look What I’m Wearing stylistas, as they show us exactly how it’s done.

Take Tasha Hinde’s of-the-moment midi. It’s a hot-pink Primark winner – we love how she’s mixed up her textures with lace on top and a sharp collar layered underneath. The pale pink loafers (also from Primark) and Marc Jacobs cat-eye sunnies keep the look polished and ladylike – Audrey Hepburn, eat your heart out! We also spotted Charlotte Copeland giving her gingham an edge with a buttoned-up New Look shirt worn with a baby-blue, leather-look Primark skirt and cut-out boots from Topshop.

Keep the print as the main focus, but don’t be afraid to accessorise. Make like our street stylers and add a statement necklace and some retro shades. And that’s how it’s done! We've found some high-street hotties to help you nail the look, too. We love Topshop's seriously swish monochrome midi, and it seems New Look may just be king of the shirts...

LOOK Loves: The £7.99 Super Dress

The £7.99 dress from H&M

Look loves a stylish bargain, and
H&M may have just answered all our fashion prayers with this sartorial miracle. Say hello to their jersey dress, a perfectly shaped summer frock that comes in prints to suit everyone and is so, so flattering. Oh, and did we mention it’s only £7.99? Hooray!

The high-street hero stocks the dress in eight different prints and colours, from eye-popping orange to classic monochrome stripes. There’s also an array of vibrant florals to choose from, and a fail-safe LBD. Wear it layered over a long sleeved blouse now, then crack it out as a high summer scorcher when the heatwave is here (we're staying optimistic).

Whatever the weather, we can’t refuse a stand-out piece at this price. Can we justify taking one in every colour…

Street Style: Work Easy Breezy Spring Trousers

Street Style: spring trousers

With the sun beginning to peek through the clouds but temperatures hardly soaring, trousers are the fail-safe, wardrobe go-to that means we stay on-trend without having to bear our legs just yet! And trust our LOOK What I’m Wearing style devotees to show us exactly how to rock a trew, with bold colours and luxe fabrics reigning supreme on our stylish streets.

Denisia Aghiorghitoaie nails it with her hot pink tailored denim Mango turn-ups and chic Zara sandals. We love how she’s kept it casual with a classic grey marl tee. And we’re obsessed with the tapered, high-waisted beauties chosen by Jansell Gillian as she teamed her top-to-toe tonal ASOS look with a Forever 21 sleeveless blazer. So on trend!

Keep colours bright and bold with a plain cropped tee or tucked-in top, and spring trousers can work with just about all of our current shoe obsessions (uh-mazing!), from pointy courts to skate shoes. Just remember to keep your trouser baggy if opting for the tricky pool slides trend.
