Accessory Brand To Revisit: Swatch

Jeremy Scott in the Swatch campaign shots

Back at school we were huge fans of a Swatch watch and now thanks to fashion designer Jeremy Scott's latest collaboration they’re back on our fashion radar. Jeremy's second collection is even stromger than the first, check out the campaign shots – camped up to the max, love it! Each of the five styles are limited, there’s only 777 of each, so when they launch on 1 October make sure you’re first in the queue at the online store. We’re digging the double strap animal print 'Punk' watch and the 'Double Vision' twirl effect style. An instant blast of kitsch, these babies aren’t going to go unnoticed, trust us! Prices start from £44.50. KA

River Island's Autumn Drop Has Landed!

Model wearing River Island's autumn/wInter 2011 collection

One of our favourite high-street fashion store's River Island has brought autumn to us early. We were more than a little excited when we popped in store and discovered some new-season beauties already on the rails. Our top a/w trend from River Island is its cool new take on boho – from blanket knits to feather accessories and navajo-style prints, it's definitely going to be one of autumn's key looks. We've got our eye on this wear-anywhere coat – for only £85, it would be rude not to grab it now! JN

Full of the joys of spring, we’re finally ready to embrace this season’s ultimate bloom. Paraded on the SS11 catwalks, designers including Marc Jacobs, Les Copains and Halston declared the ‘80s floral corsage back on trend. Big, bold and beautiful, shrinking violets they’re not. Pull hair back for a sophisticated take on the look or frizz it up and enjoy the petal party – either way this summer we’ll be wearing flowers in our hair! PS

The Celebs Go Wild For Statement Accessories

Sophie Ellis Bextor and Keisha Buchanan at the Fashion For Relief event

Never mind all the designer clothes on show at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief pop-up shop in Westfield last night, it was the A-list attendees’ amazing accessories we couldn’t take our eyes off! Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Keisha Buchanan went down the statement necklace route, with Sophie even coordinating her two-tone eye make-up to her jewelled show-stopper, but Noisettes singer Shingai Shoniwa takes the accessory crown with her gilded headdress-come-fascinator. You’ve got to love the girl’s fearless approach to fashion. Be sure to drop into the shop if you’re heading to Westfield in the next 10 days, to get your hands on pieces from the Fashion For Relief runway by designers including Christopher Kane and Vivienne Westwood, and be served by a celeb shop girl – rumour has it one of Girls Aloud will be doing a turn behind the till. Oh, we hope its Cheryl Cole! GG

The Corsage Makes A Comeback

Chloe Sevigny on the red carpet, left, a model on the SS/11 Jason Wu catwalk

It was Carrie Bradshaw’s accessory of choice during the Sex And The City heyday, and now it looks like the corsage is back with a bang for SS11. Chloe Sevigny, our favourite fashion maverick, perked up her all black look with a huge violet bloom at the Hugo Boss show in Berlin today. That and her cool orange lip are all she needs to make the simple outfit statement. Corsages adorned looks all over the catwalks too, from Jason Wu to John Galliano – take a tip from the Wu runway and style yours with an androgynous look to avoid the frou frou factor. The rule? Go as big and bold as you dare. GG

Topshop’s Hot New Designer Collaboration

Silk scarves by Michael Van Der Ham for Topshop.

Stop press! Topshop has just announced another killer designer collaboration. Following Christopher Kane, Mark Fast and Ashish is Michael Van Der Ham, creator of super-feminine dresses made by patch-working together a mismatch of colours and patterns. He’s designed a range of multicoloured, patchwork-print silk scarves for the high street mecca, with clashing colours and trompe d’oeil (deceive the eye) patterns. A must for adding a pop of colour to your new-season look, and for grabbing a piece of fashion's latest darling at a purse-friendly price. GG   Silk scarves, £40 each, Michael Van Der Ham for Topshop - in store in September.

Mary-Kate Olsen’s Boho Twist

Mary Kate Olsen in an emerald jacket at a New York restaurant opening

Keeping her style crown firmly in place Mary-Kate Olsen rocked a kind of urban boho look at a New York restaurant opening last night. In an embroidered emerald jacket that’s turning us the same shade with envy and one of those messed up hippy hairstyles that look effortless but seem to take us hours, MK knows how to work that ‘got ready in five minutes’ look. And with her long pendant necklace, huge brown suede wedges and not one but two leather satchels she proves she’s still the queen of accessorizing. She gets a fashion high five from us! - KA
