Trend Alert: Everyone's Wearing Sci-Fi Silver Shoes

Emma Roberts Rocks Rachel Bilson’s Booties
Rachel Bilson turned shoe designer recently, creating a very hot collection for US shopping site Shoemint.com, and by the looks of things, her designs are going down a storm Stateside. We spotted Emma Roberts out and about in Miss Bilson’s ‘Jolly’ leopard-print lace-up boots. With the chunky wedge and cool crepe sole, they’re perfect for doing everyday comfort without sacrificing style. While Rachel’s boots may not be available over here, we’ve found just the ticket to nail the look – Office’s ‘Nibble’ boots. Perfect with skinnies, skirts, frocks… The list is endless. Teen Choice Awards 2011: Red Carpet Round Up
It was a battle of brights versus neutrals on the Teen Choice Awards 2011 red carpet, as Hollywood’s heavy hitters went head to head. In the nude corner Cameron Diaz, who bagged the Best Comedy Actress surf board for Bad Teacher, offset her golden glow to perfection in a teeny A.L.C. bandeau and kooky Burak Uyan heels, while Selena Gomez looked dreamy in a champagne Erin Fetherson creation and clashing Brian Atwood strappies.
Blake Lively and Cat Deeley brought the colour to the blue carpet, Blake in juicy orange leather Gucci and animal print Louboutin courts, and Cat in a tropical turquoise lace shift dress and pin-stretching (like she needs any help in that department) nude shoes. While we love a bit of popping colour for a summer strut down the red carpet, we’ve got to say that this time subtle neutrals paired with statement accessories wins hands down. Celeb Fashion Update: Last Night’s Best Dressed Bash
Here’s a little something to brighten up this miserable Thursday – last night’s red carpet fashion fest! It was a seasonal fash-off at the CBS, The CW and Showtime party in LA as spring/summer '11 and autumn/winter '11 fashion trends went head to head.
Emmy Rossum and Claire Danes continued summer’s colour blocking craze, Emmy in a stunning rust and turquoise dress, paired with co-ordinating heels and clutch, while Clare went for a subtler take on the trend in a nude and red draped dress. Rachel Bilson also went super-bright, working a very cool print clash of floral shirt and leopard shoes paired with an amazing pair of textured red trousers.
But it wasn’t all popping shades, Kristen Bell and Jaime King embraced AW/11 early with sultry black boudoir looks – nailing the festish trend seen at Louis Vuitton and Versus. Well, the weather’s so temperamental right now, we’re happy to take trend inspiration for both seasons! GG

Burberry Scores One Cool Crowd At London Fashion Week AW11
Bagging a front row seat at Burberry is like finding the Stella McCartney sling-backs you’ve been lusting over all season in the sale, with only one pair left and they’re in your size. In other words, incredibly rare and oh-so fabulous. So it goes without saying that the crème de la crème of the fashion crop descended upon Kensington Gardens yesterday to attend the Burberry autumn/winter 2011 catwalk show. We’ve got to admit we were just as excited about what the A-list were going to wear catwalk-side than the actual collection and Lily Donaldson, Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth and Daisy Lowe didn’t disappoint, kitted out in signature Burberry trenches and those studded biker jackets. But probably most exciting of all was the appearance of Anna Wintour sans sunnies and with a definite smile on her face. Looks like Christopher Bailey scores again! Rachel Bilson Nails Spring/Summer 2011's Hottest Trends
Now, if Rachel Bilson's outfit isn't enough to make us want to overhaul our wardrobe, nothing is. Miss Bilson stepped out in LA in a nude dress and shoes offset with a coral mini jacket - looks like someone's been swotting up on their new season trends. Ticking off two of the hottest colours for spring, Rachel has hit the spring style nail firmly on the head. Her look has got us gagging to go tightless, but until then we'll be wearing our nude dresses with opaques glued to our legs. Roll on the sun! KA
