Tribeca Print Pro’s: Emma Watson and Michelle Williams
Dakota Fanning and Leelee Sobieski may have set the Tribeca Film Festival style standard on opening night, but Michelle Williams and Emma Watson proved they were more than up to the outfit challenge this weekend. The duo stole the red carpet limelight with their cool, printed ensembles – forget glamour gowns, offbeat is the order of the day at Tribeca.
For the Struck By Lightening premiere, Emma amped up her edgy credentials in head-to-toe clashing print Miu Miu and slicked back locks, while leading lady Michelle opted for an eclectic Giambattista Valli frock at the premiere of her latest film Take This Waltz. As much as we love swooning over OTT Oscar worthy couture creations, it’s nice to see some A-list red carpet looks we can at least attempt to copy come the weekend. Good work girls! GG

Michelle Williams' Homage To Marilyn Monroe
While My Week With Marilyn may have stormed the big screen over here back in November, promotion duties are still not over for leading lady Michelle Williams. The Golden Globe winner worked the red carpet at the film's Tokyo premiere today, before it hits cinemas there on 24 March, and paid tribute to Marilyn’s most iconic look. Her white, plunge-fronted maxi reminded us more than a little of Ms Monroe’s full skirted frock from the infamous air vent pose. Well, if we were Michelle, we’d like to play dress up as the screen icon for as long as we possibly could too! GG

The Oscars 2012: Best Dressed
The A-list called in the fashion big guns at last night’s Oscars and it was the hottest event on the Hollywood calendar, as always. The red carpet was awash with couture creations from Lanvin to Tom Ford, with the reigning trends being black, white and the occasional flash of red. Silver screen idol Meryl Streep was the star of the night, taking home her third Best Actress award for her role as Margaret Thatcher in the Iron Lady. Meryl gave her younger red carpet competitors a serious run for their money in the gown stakes too, dazzling in a draped gold Lanvin dress, teamed with matching Salvatore Ferragamo heels – a tribute to the former Prime Minister’s favourite footwear designer.
Angelina Jolie played it safe but super sexy in a gown from her go-to label Atelier Versace. The actress accessorised the black velvet floor-sweeper with a red pout and a whole lot of leg. Been stealing posing tips from Victoria Beckham, Ange? Michelle Williams may have lost out on the Best Actress gong, but she’s topped the red carpet style charts in a coral peplum-waisted Louis Vuitton number, teamed with a clashing pink clutch. Gwyneth Paltrow led the white dress pack in a striking column dress by Tom Ford, complete with a sweeping cape detail. With gorgeous gowns galore, this year's Oscar frock competition was fierce – we also adored Emma Stone in raspberry Giambattista Valli, Natalie Portman in polka dot vintage Dior and Rooney Mara in stunning white Givenchy. Jennifer Aniston And Michelle Williams Rock Monochrome
Both promoting films on different sides of the globe but Jennifer Aniston and Michelle Williams both picked monochrome mini dresses as their red carpet frock of choice. Jennifer Aniston ditched her usual black attire for a Tom Ford chevron printed dress by Kenzo for the premiere of her latest comedy Wanderlust, whilst Michelle hit a photo-call in Berlin to promote her flick My Week With Marilyn in a supercute wave print dress. Do we spy a monochrome pattern fashion trend emerging?! Ladies, we've got to hand it to you, you both look great but Michelle's cuter-than-cute style gets us every time - a fashion high five from us! Michelle Williams Shines In Dior
With Marilyn Monroe a huge fan of Christian Dior it came as no surprise that Michelle Williams wowed on the red carpet for the Paris film premiere of My Week With Marilyn in an amazing Dior gown. Michelle, who has long been a Dior fan herself, outdid herself in this pale pink embellished dress that wouldn't look out of place in a fairytale. Michelle made the SS11 haute couture dress her own by ditching the catwalk strappy shoes in favour of metallic courts with scarlet nails and lips and dare we say it, we prefer her look! If the actress doesn't win an Acadamy Award for Best Actress next week for her part in the film, we're certain she'll top a few best dressed lists! KA

Michelle Williams Wears H&M To The Baftas 2012
Yes, you did read that correctly! Instead of her usual go-to labels Jason Wu, Valentino and Victoria Beckham, Michelle Williams opted for a dress from none other than high street fashion giant H&M at last night’s Baftas 2012 in London.
Ok, so it’s not exactly off the peg – H&M customised the ivory and black maxi, which is part of their latest Conscious collection, exclusively for the My Week With Marilyn star. Teamed with quirky Olympia Le Tan book clutch, simple jewels and a scarlet lip, we’d never have known Michelle’s red carpet frock wasn’t hot off the couture catwalks. Could this gal get any cooler? See Michelle Williams And Rooney Mara’s Pre-Oscars Style-Off
If Michelle Williams and Rooney Mara are feeling the wardrobe pressure as Oscar night looms, they're certainly not showing it. The actresses, alongside Meryl Streep and Glenn Close, are up for the Best Actress award at the biggest night of the awards season on 26 February 2012.
But before the red carpet full of show-stopping dresses, there's the 2012 Academy Awards Nominees lunch, which was held yesterday in LA. This calls for a day-friendly yet extra-stylish ensemble, and Michelle and Rooney didn’t disappoint. Fast becoming her new go-to label, Michelle stepped out in a Victoria Beckham dress with an embellished rain cloud print and a cute Peter Pan collar. In contrast, Rooney went down the androgynous route and threw us a fashion curveball by teaming a black Asos jumpsuit with a sharp-shouldered Thierry Mugler jacket. Talk about a high-street/high-fashion mix! With this being their last chance to impress with their wardrobe choices, it all rests on the big night now. Choose those dresses wisely, ladies! Michelle Williams' Summer In Winter Style: Love It!
Michelle Williams gave us a lesson in trans-seasonal fashion as she stepped out in New York last night. The star braved the chilly New York weather, layering a fur-trimmed black coat over a floral Erdem shift dress with grey Giuseppe Zanotti heels. It’s not just the designer dress that’s making Michelle smile either – the actress has just been nominated for Best Actress at this year’s Oscars for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn. We’re right behind you, Michelle!
