Fashion's finest hit  one of the hottest fashion parties of the year, with Alexa Chung, Rose Byrne, Leigh Lezark, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Solange Knowles and Michelle Trachtenberg joining Mulberry's Creative Director Emma Hill in New York to celebrate Mulberry's 40th Birthday. Alexa Chung, as always, looked picture-perfect rocking a classic trench coat with a statement collar blouse, a mini Mulberry Alexa Bag and cute flat cat shoes - we want a pair! Scrap that. We want the whole outfit!

New York city was buzzing with yet another A-list event last night as Yves Saint Laurent launched its brand new perfume, D'Opium. Our fave starlets turned out to show their support in ultra fashionable attire. Alexa Chung worked Mulberry's iconic 'Roxy' handbag, Ashley Olsen topped off her androgynous dress with a kooky tribal bandana, Maggie Gyllenhaal popped in dusty pink whilst Whitney Port wore an arty LBD. Fashion’s finest were out in force last night for the launch of Zac Posen’s eagerly anticipated collection for Target. The store, a sort of US Matalan, is not new to designer collaborations, having had Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Sui and Proenza Schouler all design sell-out lines.

Posen fans working the red carpet included Selma Blair, Claire Danes, Maggie Gyllenhal, Olivia Palermo, and of course Coco Rocha. Well, the designer is currently working on her wedding dress. If Zac’s catwalk creations are anything to go by, this is set to be the store’s hottest hook-up yet. Just one question Target, when are you opening across the pond?! - GG

Hollywood’s leading ladies showcased an amazing array of dresses at the Golden Globes last night but in the hair and make-up stakes, the red carpet was divided. First Up: The Hollywood Siren – Cameron Diaz, Heather Graham, January Jones and Maggie Gyllenhaal were all slicked to perfection with a striking red lip and hair pulled tightly back of the face – full of drama and a definite nod to old school glamour. - JH
