Leighton Meester and Lake Bell Vamp It Up In Black
Black never fails to look super-chic, as Leighton Meester and Lake Bell proved at last night’s 'Icons Collection' private dinner in New York. Leighton made sure her blouse was anything but prim, thanks to a cheeky bra flash and fetish-style Perspex wedges, while Lake opted for a curve-clinging dress, with an embellished clutch bag and strappy sandals. Thanks for the inspiration, ladies! We’ll be getting our trusty LBD out on Saturday night – after a new-season accessory shop to update it, of course! GG

Kelly Rowland And Lake Bell Work The Same Fetish Dress
Kelly Rowland and Lake Bell sure know how to work AW11's fetish fashion trend. Kelly wore this Cushnie et Ochs cutaway dress in grey to celebrate the launch of her new album Here I Am in New York back in July, while Lake Bell chose the same dress in black to attend a film premiere in LA last night. We love how both Kelly Rowland and Lake Bell have made the same dress so different – Lake with her pointed toe-cap stilettos to continue the dominatrix theme, and Kelly with silver accessories and a flick of electric blue eyeliner. We hope Kelly Rowland pulls out some more show-stoppers like this for the X Factor 2011 finals – we love! RS

Hollywood’s Cool Crowd Hits The Red Carpet
You don’t get more fashion forward than the guest list at Target’s GQ International Designers Collective Launch. The cult US bargain store, famous for it’s hook-ups with designers including Rodarte, Proenza Schouler and Mulberry threw a bash to celebrate the re-release of the most popular pieces from past collections, and the celebs were out in force. First up a wardrobe double whammy from Liv Tyler and Chloë Sevigny, all statement shoes – Liv’s are from Chloë’s latest collection for Opening Ceremomy – and kooky hair. We almost thought Ms Tyler had gone for an undercut, but it’s just a sneaky side plait. Gorgeous actress Lake Bell made off-duty work for the red carpet in a cute skirt and sweater combo and the sort of just-got-out-of-bed hair that we can never seem to get right, sigh.
We’re considering a trip across the pond just to raid Target’s rails. GG

Lake Bell's Smokin' Little Black Dress
Yikes! Who knew a black jersey T-shirt dress could pack so much va va voom? We couldn’t take our eyes off Lake Bell at the Burning Palms premiere last night thanks to her curve-clinging LBD, embellished belt (no doubt picked up in one of LA’s super hip thrift stores) and pin-stretching shoe boots. Gorgeous with a capital G. We’re off to American Apparel to snap up a similar number pronto. Or perhaps after we’ve done some stomach crunches. GG

Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell Hit Burberry's Tea Party
A Burberry tea party in Los Angeles? What a treat! Burberry threw a traditional British summertime garden party to celebrate its new Burberry Beauty collection (in Tom Cruise's former Beverly Hills home, no less) and over 70 stateside starlets turned up to show their support. Kate Bosworth and Lake Bell snatched the pap action from other guests including Glee's Jayma Mays – look at them glow in their Burberry Prorsum frocks. Lace is the perfect girlie yet trendy look for the summer wedding season – try styling your lace with laid-back luxe accessories like Kate’s rodeo belt and Lake’s snake clutch for a modern twist on the look.
