Kate Winslet Works The Titanic Premiere…Again!
Kate Winslet was the star of the red carpet last night in London as she stepped out to celebrate the 3D re-release of the film that made her famous, Titanic. 15 years on from the 1997 blockbuster, Kate’s a bona fide Hollywood star, and proved her red carpet prowess in a regal Jenny Packham gown and retro waves – not to mention a dusting of bling to rival her on screen alter ego Rose DeWitt Bukater.Kate confessed that watching the cult film again was like watching a home video, claiming “My American accent was bad!” Sadly, co-star Leonardo DiCaprio was absent from the premiere proceedings, so Kate made do with new beau Ned RockNRoll on her arm instead. Something tells us we’re set for a new wave of Titanic fever. GG

Golden Globes 2012: The Winners
While the Golden Globes 2012 was an epic night in the fashion stakes, the small matter of who won what is pretty important too, so here’s the low-down on last night’s big winners.
Veteran actress Meryl Streep scooped the much-deserved Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama, for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, and the second Best Actress gong went to Michelle Williams, who took home Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, for My Week With Marilyn. The elfin starlet glowed in a blue velvet Jason Wu gown, cute hairband and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, and revealed that she prepared for taking on the role of the screen siren by reading bedtime stories to her daughter in a breathless Marilyn voice for six months.
In the boys corner, George Clooney bagged Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, for The Descendants, and walked the red carpet with girlfriend Stacy Kiebler, who wowed in a bright red Valentino floorsweeper, while Hollywood newcomer Jean Dujardin was awarded Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for The Artist. A household name in his native France, the actor beat heavyweights Ryan Gosling and Owen Wilson to take the gong.
The Artist scored a double whammy, taking home Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, while other winners on the night included The Descendants for Best Motion Picture- Drama, Woody Allen with Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, for Midnight In Paris. The Brits didn’t let the side down either, with Downton Abbey taking Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made For Television, Kate Winslet bagging Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made For Television for Mildred Pierce, and Idris Elba winning the male equivalent for Luther. Red: The A-List Colour Of Choice At The Emmys 2011
The celeb's colour of choice at the Emmys 2011 was undoubtedly red. Forget about blending into the red carpet, Kate Winslet, Lea Michele, Kerry Washington and Nina Dobrev were just a few of the famous faces who chose to wear this fiery hue. We love how this classic colour shows off an hourglass bod to perfection. The ruffle hem trains on Kerry Washington's sequin Zuhair Murad dress and Nina Dobrev's gorgeous Donna Karan creation had us swooning. While over in the other red corner, Kate Winslet kept things simple in a body-sculpting Elie Saab creation and Lea Michele's Marchesa shoulder ruffles were just gorgeous. We have a new dress on our shopping list, ladies – and you guessed it, it's red! RS

Kate Winslet Glows At Venice Film Festival
Kate Winslet looked positively radiant wearing a Victoria Beckham zip-up dress on the red carpet at the Venice film festival for the premiere of her film Carnage.
Kate looked to be in great spirits considering the life-threatening ordeal she faced recently on Richard Branson’s Necker Island when the house she was staying in caught fire. Speaking about the disaster, Kate said: "I feel extremely fortunate to have been with the Branson family who coped with it incredibly well. I have never known such a group of extraordinarily stoic people and am very grateful to be alive and to be here."
Richard Branson has also hailed Kate a hero after she carried his mother Eve out of the burning house. We must say, we like a hero who's clad in Victoria Beckham! RS

Victoria Beckham To Launch Girlie Dress Collection!
Victoria Beckham may be about to pop with her fourth child but her pregnancy hasn’t stopped her working flat out on her fashion designs, with a new lower-priced dress collection being added to her line.
At just a snip of the price of Victoria Beckham’s original pieces, the new collection will retail from £350 to £550 and include fun summer dresses.
They may still be on the pricey side but they're a far cry from the £5,000 celeb dresses the likes of Olivia Palermo, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow and best mate, Eva Longoria wear.
The new dress collection is expected to be less red-carpet clingy and more flowing. Victoria said: “I’m opening these designs to women and girls of all different shapes and sizes, people who maybe want something less tight, clingy and structured.” Yes! Another designer embracing curves!
Even though the Beckhams' baby girl hasn’t been born yet (expected on Monday), we love how she’s already having a design influence, with Victoria saying she’s making the dresses more girlie than before. The Beckhams have apparently gone girl-crazy, already spending £50,000 on a nursery ahead of Victoria’s planned C-section.
The collection is set to launch in spring/summer 2012 with a party during London Fashion Week, as well as with Victoria’s first standalone store (excitable squeals!). We can’t wait to see baby Becks and the new dresses! JG

Nope, she hasn’t had a skin breakout – Kate Winslet stepped out in a spotty Stella McCartney dress to premiere her new Mildred Pierce TV series. With a daring sheer panel down one side, Kate’s dress left little to the imagination – underwear, what underwear? Adding to her super-sleek look, Kate Winslet teamed her Stella McCartney stunner with chic Gucci shoes and a gold clutch. Kate Winslet, we want your curves AND your wardrobe! HE

LOOK Loves: Lancôme's Limited Edition Bafta Palette
Time for a beauty crush in the form of a Swarovski crystal-encrusted blusher palette courtesy of Lancôme. The magpie within us can’t resist this little number and it appears we’re not alone. The collaboration was born from a request by Kate Winslet’s make-up artist Linda Melazzo, who thought Kate needed something sparkly to slip into her clutch come the night of the Baftas 2011. Well at least we’ll know how Kate got her glow on the red carpet!
Lancôme Limited Edition Bafta Palette, £50, exclusive to Selfridges from 1 February.

The Oscars 2010 Fashion Trends: Romantic Ruled!
Well, there’s one thing you can be sure of: the A-list loved a frothy, ruffled, frilly, strapless, romantic-inspired dress at the Oscars 2010. That or classic Hollywood glamour seemed to be the order of the day, bar one or two curveballs (but nothing too disastrous).
Romantic was the overriding trend with waterfall ruffles, frills, trains and acres of blush, nude and powder-puff pink filling up the red carpet. Jennifer Lopez and Amanda Seyfried looked beautiful in Giorgio Armani Privé, Miley Cyrus wore Jenny Packham, Demi Moore poured herself into Atelier Versace waterfall ruffles and the hot contender for dress of the night was Zoe Saldana in the most beautiful Givenchy Couture dress we’ve ever seen. Sarah Jessica Parker’s Chanel Couture sheath also deserves a special mention for classic goddess beauty and being the only lemon frock there.
Golden age of Hollywood glamour also made an appearance in the form of Kate Winslet’s silver YSL ensemble, Sandra Bullock in beaded Marchesa and Charlize Theron in two-tone pink Christian Dior (two trends in one Charlize, well done). And it wouldn’t be Oscar night without a smattering of jewels, beading and embellishment, with Carey Mulligan in black jewelled Prada (we're not sure about the long/short hem – it's like she almost heeded Anna Wintour's advice to go short but wanted to cover all bases), Cameron Diaz in golden Oscar de la Renta and Nicole Richie in vintage-inspired Reem Acra. All in all, a pretty stylish night.
