Fashion Round Up: A-List Glamour At The White House Dinner
When an invite to dinner at The White House with the Obama’s lands on your doormat, you know your failsafe LBD isn’t going to cut it in the fashion stakes. Oscar-worthy red carpet glamour was the order of the day at The White House Correspondents Association dinner this weekend, with A-list guests including Kate Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Dakota Fanning and Zooey Deschanel pulling out all the stops.
Kate and Kim went for jewel toned showstopping gowns, Kate sparking in midnight blue Jenny Packham (we wonder if she’s been looking to a certain British Kate for style inspiration - Jenny is one of her go-to designers after all) and gave us major bun envy with her golden locks piled on her head in a whopping top knot. Kim, who attended the soiree with her mum Kris Jenner instead of rumoured beau Kanye West, went down the Grecian goddess route in an embellished green velvet gown. Dakota Fanning and Zooey Deschanel glistened on the red carpet in ornate metallic dresses, Dakota in vintage-esque Prada, which she let do the talking with a make-up free face and loose, simple tresses, and Zooey in petal embellished Oscar De La Renta. With the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Charlize Theron and Claire Danes also on the guestlist, the Obama’s bash was like the dinner party of dreams! Kate Moss Celebrates Stella McCartney's 40th Birthday
Stella McCartney’s bezzer Kate Moss attended the fashion designer's 40th birthday celebrations in London last night and we bet it was one hell of a party.
Kate Moss glammed up from her usual rock-chick look in a Azzaro jumpsuit with a bow top – a change of image for the supermodel we think – and accessorised with a silver Stella McCartney clutch bag and black court shoes.
The party at Wellington Arch had a star-studded guest list with the likes of Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow also attending – we just wish we’d have gotten an invite! FD

Kate Hudson And Victoria Beckham Tweet Baby News!
Kate Hudson’s fiancé rocker Matt Bellamy and Victoria Beckham both took to their Twitter pages today to express the joy over the new additions to their respective families. Muse front man Matt revealed the name of his and Kate Hudson’s new tot by tweeting: “so happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham 'Bing' Hawn Bellamy”. The baby’s middle name is thought to be in honour of Kate Hudson’s mother Goldie Hawn. Meanwhile Ms.Beckham had the whole office ah-ing after tweeting “Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen, I have fallen in love all over again.” We wonder how long it will be now until we catch a glimpse of the cute tots! Celebrity Baby Boom: Kate Hudson Gives Birth To A Baby Boy
It’s been a weekend of celebrity births with Victoria Beckham and her new baby girl Harper Seven Beckham somewhat stealing the headlines. But there was another Hollywood birth, with Kate Hudson and her fiancé Matt Bellamy welcoming their new baby boy.
The couple haven’t revealed the baby’s name yet, but the new addition is Kate Hudson’s second son, joining big brother Ryder from her first marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson. Kate Hudson checked into the same hospital as Victoria Beckham, Cedars-Sinai, this weekend, with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and her mum, Goldie Hawn, by her side.
Last week, Kate Hudson had a gender-neutral baby shower (and thank goodness as she had originally thought she was expecting a girl!) where 80 guests, including Nicole Richie (also at Victoria Beckham’s baby shower) and Courteney Cox helped brainstorm baby names.
Perhaps the new Hudson-Bellamy baby can be friends with Harper Beckham – awww! JG

Kate Hudson and Selma Blair both stepped out yesterday with their baby bumps proudly on show, both looking pregnancy picture-perfect. In sunny LA, Selma sported a low-key look in a ’70s boho maxi dress accessorised with nude gladiator sandals. Kate, on the other hand, kept her heels on in New York and went for a cute retro polka-dot sundress. Glowing, shiny and happy – if these ladies could bottle their look, they’d make a fortune! PS

Diane Kruger and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Colour-Block Dresses
We bet there was no escaping the paparazzi flashbulbs for these two last night. Diane Kruger and Gwyneth Paltrow lit up the red carpet at the 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute in popping colour-block frocks and heels by Calvin Klein. Well, he did sponsor the event after all. Both ladies stayed true to the classic CK aesthetic by keeping their accessories to a minimum and letting the perfectly cut dresses do the talking. We bet Jessica Alba’s glad she wore a flowing Chloé maxi dress last night after co-star Kate Hudson had a Marilyn Monroe moment at the premiere for their new film The Killer Inside Me at the Tribeca Film Festival 2010.
