Jessie J And Florence Welch – Brit Girls Rule The Red Carpet
Florence Welch and Jessie J proved the likes of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera have got some serious competition in the diva stakes as they reigned supreme on the red carpet at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul event in New York this weekend.
Both ladies looked suitably sparkly and festive, Florence – who paid tribute to Amy Winehouse on stage – in a nude dip hem Antonio Berardi dress with glistening appliqué and pin stretching nude courts, and Jessie in a flesh flashing, typically offbeat frock that, paired with her sharp black bob reminds us more than a little of a modern day Cleopatra.
US music heavyweights Mary J Blige and Jennifer Hudson also worked the red carpet, but thanks to Flo and Jessie’s cool Brit style and uh-mazing voices, last night definitely belonged to the new girls on the block. GG

Jessica Alba and Jennifer Hudson both looked amazing as they turned on the lights at the Swarovski Elements and Rodeo Drive holiday lighting ceremony in LA last night. Jessica Alba wore a beautiful Carolina Herrera Resort 2012 dress complete with black belt, snakeskin shoes and Swarovski jewellery, of course! Meanwhile, Jennifer Hudson rocked a red dress with a crisp white coat – we have serious cover-up envy! They’ll be no drinking mulled wine in those outfits, girls! RS

Jennifer Hudson could give us all a masterclass on how to make the best of your shape by clever shape-flattering frocks. The American superstar attended two star-studded events this weekend in a two show-stopping dresses that flattered every inch of her hourglass figure. Jennifer’s first impressive outfit was a skintight purple leather dress, complete with voluminous sleeves, blunt fringe and black heels – proving that leather isn't just suitable for catwalk models. Another clever outfit choice from Ms Hudson was when she attended the Grammy Awards 2010 in a peplum dress from Victoria Beckham’s spring 2010 collection, the waist-cinching detail and peplum skirt accentuated her curves and drew attention to her best bits.
