Brit Girls Set To Win Big At The Ivor Novello Awards 2012
Adele, Florence Welch, PJ Harvey and Kate Bush are all up for gongs at the Ivor Novello Awards 2012 in London tonight, flying the flag for British talent. Adele is up against Florence And The Machine and Ed Sheeran for best song, while the best album award will definitely be taken home by one of the girls, with the Rolling In The Deep star joining PJ Harvey and Kate Bush on the nominees list. Chanel, Lanvin, Dolce & Gabbana – Florence Welch already has a fair few designer labels in her wardobe! Well, she’s going to have to make a bit more space (let us know if you need a hand, Flo) because the star has a new designer dress addition in the form of Tadashi Shoji. Stepping out at her tour after-party, Florence looked gorgeous in a bottle green embroidered and tiered floorsweeper – the perfect shade for her skintone, we say! Dubbed the best kept secret of New York Fashion Week, Tadashi already has celeb fans including Kate Beckinsale, Rooney Mara and Jayma Mays. No doubt Florence won’t keep this designer secret for long, she’ll need someone to design her tour outfits, after all! HE

Florence Welch And Alexa Chung Hit The NME Awards 2012
Florence Welch and Alexa Chung rocked The 2012 NME Awards last night at The Brixton Academy. Florence Welch worked a floral print trouser suit by Moschino like only she can, whilst Alexa Chung went for a more demure lace LBD but covered it with an oversize coat, naughty Alexa Chung! The awards saw Florence Welch beat the boys picking up Best Solo Artist and Best Track for Shake It Up, you go girl!
Other winners included Noel Gallagher, who received the Godlike Genius award, we're sure it won't go to his head. Elsewhere, Best Album went to The Horrors and Kasabian were crowned Best British Band. The losers where Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe for Worst Album and One Direction for Worst Band. PS

The Brits 2012: First Look!
The stars have started arriving on the red carpet at the Brit Awards 2012 and you can see all the pics of the first arrivals - including Florence Welch, Katie Melua and Laura Whitmore - here.
Florence, who's in the running for best British female solo act along with Adele and Jessie J, opted for a floor-length peach gown. Meanwhile, TV presenter Laura Whitmore braved the red carpet in a lacy black mini dress and Katie Melua went for a more classic dress with frilled sleeves. Rihanna, Adele And Florence Welch Gear Up For The Brits 2012
Rihanna, Adele and Florence Welch could all win big at The Brit Awards 2012 at London's 02 tonight. Among the nominees, Florence Welch, Jessie J and Adele are up for best female solo artist, while Ed Sheeran, James Blake and Professor Green could win best male solo act. Adele's Someone Like You, Jessie J's Price Tag and Pixie Lott's All About Tonight are all in the running for best British single, with The Wanted's Glad You Came and Example's Changed The Way You Kiss Me also among the nominees. Meanwhile, gorgeous new talent Emeli Sande is up for the critics' choice award and Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are nominated for best international female artist. Jessie J, Adele & Pixie Lott Set To Storm The Brit Awards 2012
Jessie J, Adele and Pixie Lott are all up for best British single at the Brit Awards 2012, after the nominations were revealed at a celeb-filled party at London's Savoy lon Thursday night.
Adele's Someone Like You, Jessie J's Price Tag and Pixie Lott's All About Tonight are all in the running for the prize and stars - including the nominees and Amy Winehouse's goddaughter Dionne Bromfield - attended the bash to celebrate. Dionne wore a cute '60s-style mini dress, while Jessie J picked out an edgy sheer number with a spider web design for the red carpet.
Jessie J and Adele are also up for best female solo artist, along with Florence Welch, while Ed Sheeran, James Morrison and Professor Green could win best male solo act. Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are nominated for best international female artist and Aloe Blacc, Bruno Mars and Ryan Adams are up for the prize in the boys' category. Jessie J And Florence Welch – Brit Girls Rule The Red Carpet
Florence Welch and Jessie J proved the likes of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera have got some serious competition in the diva stakes as they reigned supreme on the red carpet at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul event in New York this weekend.
Both ladies looked suitably sparkly and festive, Florence – who paid tribute to Amy Winehouse on stage – in a nude dip hem Antonio Berardi dress with glistening appliqué and pin stretching nude courts, and Jessie in a flesh flashing, typically offbeat frock that, paired with her sharp black bob reminds us more than a little of a modern day Cleopatra.
US music heavyweights Mary J Blige and Jennifer Hudson also worked the red carpet, but thanks to Flo and Jessie’s cool Brit style and uh-mazing voices, last night definitely belonged to the new girls on the block. GG

Get Bidding! Save The Children’s Designer Bag Auction
Here at LOOK HQ, we love it when charity and fashion come together, so we’ll definitely be getting involved in Save The Children’s ‘Bag To Save A Life’ appeal tomorrow. Supported by supermodel Erin O'Connor, the charity has teamed up with celebs including Samatha Cameron, Sienna Miller and Florence Welch to host a designer bag auction on Friday 25 November. Samantha Cameron donated a Jimmy Choo, Sienna Miller gave a Miu Miu bag and Gemma Arterton handed over a patent Prada number.
And if that wasn’t enough to give you the bidding bug, there are also bags from Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Georgia May Jagger and designers including Christian Louboutin, Moschino and Jason Wu. The best bit is that the starting prices will be set at a quarter of the original value, so you really could bag (excuse the pun) a bargain while raising money to help Save The Children deliver life-saving healthcare to some of the world’s poorest countries. The auction goes live tomorrow and runs until Sunday 4 December, but don’t worry if you end up being outbid, you can still do your bit by donating any unwanted bags – come on, we know you’ve got at least one – to any Save The Children store in the UK. Florence Welch has had a busy few weeks – she's performed at the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week, her new album Ceremonials went straight to No1 when it was released last month, she performed on The X Factor last weekend, and now she’s jetted off to Australia. Phew! Florence is in Sydney to perform at a one-off concert for the Debit Mastercard Priceless Series at the Seymour Centre tonight, and looked gorgeous as she posed for a photoshoot outside super-luxe hotel The Establishment in the heart of Sydney. Florence worked ’40s chic in a fedora hat and a floral-print jumpsuit – a print she picked from the Liberty archives to be included in the Liberty 2011 fabric range. Florence Welch Dons A Silky Robe For Her Latest Concert
Florence And The Machine stormed last night’s Hackney Empire and our style crush, Florence Welch, took to the stage in a Temperley London peach satin creation. Florence paired the silky robe with matching shorts and a lace bodice, which on anyone else would resemble nightwear – but Flo pulled it off with all the grace of a Hollywood starlet.
