Fashion Round Up: A-List Glamour At The White House Dinner
When an invite to dinner at The White House with the Obama’s lands on your doormat, you know your failsafe LBD isn’t going to cut it in the fashion stakes. Oscar-worthy red carpet glamour was the order of the day at The White House Correspondents Association dinner this weekend, with A-list guests including Kate Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Dakota Fanning and Zooey Deschanel pulling out all the stops.
Kate and Kim went for jewel toned showstopping gowns, Kate sparking in midnight blue Jenny Packham (we wonder if she’s been looking to a certain British Kate for style inspiration - Jenny is one of her go-to designers after all) and gave us major bun envy with her golden locks piled on her head in a whopping top knot. Kim, who attended the soiree with her mum Kris Jenner instead of rumoured beau Kanye West, went down the Grecian goddess route in an embellished green velvet gown. Dakota Fanning and Zooey Deschanel glistened on the red carpet in ornate metallic dresses, Dakota in vintage-esque Prada, which she let do the talking with a make-up free face and loose, simple tresses, and Zooey in petal embellished Oscar De La Renta. With the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Charlize Theron and Claire Danes also on the guestlist, the Obama’s bash was like the dinner party of dreams! Oh what we wouldn’t give to have been a fly on the wall in that ballroom…GG

Heidi Klum And Dakota Fanning Go Glam At The DKMS Gala
Another Thursday night in New York, another fashion fabulous red carpet gala to attend! Celebrities including Heidi Klum, Dakota Fanning, Solange Knowles and Byrdie Bell stepped out last night for the DKMS' 6th Annual Gala Linked Against Blood Cancer, looking ever the showstopping A-listers they are.
Heidi Klum's leg split Temperley London gown stole the show - what a twinkler! She accessorised with Christian Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.
Dakota Fanning's Elie Saab couture floor sweeper has got us craving the embellished, fairytale look - this weekend's new night out inspiration, perhaps?
And bravo to Byrdie Bell and Solange Knowles too, for pulling out all the red carpet stops. We'll totes be your plus one next time gals! LW

Tribeca Print Pro’s: Emma Watson and Michelle Williams
Dakota Fanning and Leelee Sobieski may have set the Tribeca Film Festival style standard on opening night, but Michelle Williams and Emma Watson proved they were more than up to the outfit challenge this weekend. The duo stole the red carpet limelight with their cool, printed ensembles – forget glamour gowns, offbeat is the order of the day at Tribeca.
For the Struck By Lightening premiere, Emma amped up her edgy credentials in head-to-toe clashing print Miu Miu and slicked back locks, while leading lady Michelle opted for an eclectic Giambattista Valli frock at the premiere of her latest film Take This Waltz. As much as we love swooning over OTT Oscar worthy couture creations, it’s nice to see some A-list red carpet looks we can at least attempt to copy come the weekend. Good work girls! GG

Dakota Fanning and Leelee Sobieski Dazzle At Tribeca Film Festival
As red caret looks go, they’re worlds apart, but Dakota Fanning and Leelee Sobieski both killed it with their respective ensembles at a Vanity Fair party in New York last night. The bash kick started the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, and only show stopping looks will do for a magazine whose annual Oscar parties are legendary!
Dakota, who never fails to nail an age-appropriate red carpet style, picked a hot pink Lanvin cocktail frock, accessorising with gold trim heels, clutch and chain hairband. Leelee opted for the most directional floorsweeper we’ve ever seen – a full skirted white shirt dress from cool catwalk minimalist Jil Sander. Sticking with the theme, the only accessory needed was a slick of red lipstick. With Hollywood’s elite set to descend on NYC for the next ten days of Tribeca events, you’re in for a real red carpet treat. The A-list ladies are going to have to seriously up their game! Alice Eve Is Pretty In Prada
Prada’s 50s Americana-inspired SS12 collection is getting some serious A-list love, with everyone from Freida Pinto to Kate Bosworth and Dakota Fanning stepping out in the designs, and now Brit girl Alice Eve is getting in on the action.
Alice ticked off spring's pastel craze nicely in a head-to-toe look from the Italian label at ‘The Raven’ premiere in New York last night, opting for a powder blue dip hem dress and matching jewel-toe ‘Taillight’ wedges. The English rose completed her look with a fifties-esque bouffant updo and dewy make-up. Miuccia Prada would approve, we’re sure! GG

Dakota Fanning Glows At The Glaad Awards
Dakota Fanning took to the red carpet for the GLAAD awards in New York last night in a stunning full embroidered nude gown by Halston. The actress looked stunning in the vintage-inspired frock which she accessorised with matching Manolo Blahnik gold strappies and a Salvatore Ferragamo box bag.
The young star is reportedly worth a cool $720 million, which must come in handy when shopping for events (jealous, us?!) Love the dress and extra points for the natural hair and make up, Dakota is proving herself a natural!

Happy Birthday Dakota Fanning!
Dakota Fanning turns 18 today (we know – only 18!) and is already a darling of the fashion world and front-row regular at Fashion Week. Throughout her teenage years we’ve seen Dakota in everything from Friends to War of the Worlds; cementing her status as teen royalty, Dakota played Jane in the Twilight Saga, simultaneously bringing our attention to her style off-screen as she developed her look.
It’s little wonder Marc Jacobs picked her to be the face of his cuter-than-cute Lola perfume with her pretty, girly dresses and her love of flesh-tone neutrals, not to mention her English rose complexion -no fake tan or extensions for Miss Fanning! With more exciting roles coming up soon, including her part in Breaking Dawn: Part 2, we’ve only seen the beginning of this teen queen. Happy Birthday Dakota!

After dazzling in an icy Miu Miu dress at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Awards 2012, Dakota Fanning pulled another cute outfit out of the bag, this time while she was out and about in New York. Wearing what looked like a Parisian-inspired ensemble (those girls sure know how to do understated chic) the Twilight actress looked gorgeous in a white blouse, flirty red pleated skirt and knee-high socks.
