Jessie J And Florence Welch – Brit Girls Rule The Red Carpet
Florence Welch and Jessie J proved the likes of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera have got some serious competition in the diva stakes as they reigned supreme on the red carpet at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul event in New York this weekend.
Both ladies looked suitably sparkly and festive, Florence – who paid tribute to Amy Winehouse on stage – in a nude dip hem Antonio Berardi dress with glistening appliqué and pin stretching nude courts, and Jessie in a flesh flashing, typically offbeat frock that, paired with her sharp black bob reminds us more than a little of a modern day Cleopatra.
US music heavyweights Mary J Blige and Jennifer Hudson also worked the red carpet, but thanks to Flo and Jessie’s cool Brit style and uh-mazing voices, last night definitely belonged to the new girls on the block. GG

Looks like Christina Aguilera must have gotten bored of all the black she's been wearing to promote her new film Burlesque, as she threw us a style curveball at the Berlin premiere last night, wearing a hot pink chiffon gown with a plaited hairstyle. It may be a little less racy than her latest burlesque-inspired looks, but as we'd expect from Ms Aguilera, it's definitely not lacking the oomph factor! GG

We’re positively giddy about Christina Aguilera and Cher sharing screen space in the hotly anticipated Burlesque, which hits cinema screens on 17 December 2010, and to get us in the mood Miss Selfridge has launched a limited-edition collection of tops inspired by the movie. The capsule collection is made up of nine designs and includes a navy pearl embellished bandeau top, a white corset print tee and T-shirts featuring the burlesque dancer drawings of Andrea Selby, who sketched all the action from the film set. But her high-impact style is actually really easy to do and the key to this look is in the product. Run a curl mousse like Tigi Bed Head Foxy Curls Extreme Curl Mousse, £9.90, through your hair. Then, tong just the bottom half of your hair into tight, bouncy curls. Next, after dividing your hair into sections, pull the curls tightly into the centre of your head and pin them securely, working your way from your forehead right down to the nape of your neck. Christina Aguilera may have left her 'dirty' image behind but it seems she's morphing into designer, Donatella Versace.
Is it us or is it true that the Hollywood gang are turning into each other day by day First we had Katie Holmes morphing into the Posh one and now Eva Longoria have followed suit. But the latest A-list transformation that has us shocked is Christina Aguilera. Over the years she has showed her love for Versace but we didnt quite realise the extent of her obsession - until now! Stepping out at MTV VMAs, Christina looked like she had taken part in one of the channels' celebrity make-over shows. With bleached blonde hair and perma tan, the singed bared a resemblance to Donatella. Her eye make looked just like it had come of a New York runway, but it didn't go with the fluorescent hair and orange make up. Oh well, at least Christina will have one fan in the name of Donatella!
