Alexa Chung: The Ultimate Dungarees Fan!
There’s many fashion items that spring to mind when we think of Alexa Chung – penny loafers, Breton tops, Peter Pan collars – but it’s got to be denim that’s her greatest love. And we’re not talking staple skinny jeans either. For Alexa, it’s all about the dungarees. Whether in shorts or full-on jumpsuit form, Ms Chung manages to make what was once the uniform of painters and decorators look like a fashion must-have. A case in point is the outfit she wore to a party at New York’s Boom Boom Room last night. The stylista teamed her trusty dungarees with a cute blouse and some very SS12 metallic silver platforms. Only Alexa could wangle her way into one of NYC’s hippest clubs in that ensemble. Dress code? What dress code? GG

Front row fashionistas Alexa Chung and Sarah Jessica Parker hit the 2012 amfAR gala last night, giving us a sneak peek of what we can expect from their fashion week wardrobes. Alexa Chung chanelled ladylike chic in a cream shell dress by Louis Vuitton and extrememly pointy stilettos – you wouldn’t want to step on anyone's feet wearing those bad boys! Meanwhile Sarah Jessica Parker wrapped up from the New York chill layering a Theysken’s Theory biker jacket over her Oscar de la Renta gown. With New York Fashion Week kicking off today, we can’t wait to see what knockout outfits they’ll pull out next! SR

Meet The New Face Of Radley: Laura Bailey
Radley, the bag brand famous for its Scottie dog logo, has taken a high-fashion turn this spring by snapping up British model Laura Bailey to front its SS12 campaign. Laura’s a long-time fixture on the British fashion scene – as well as being an in-demand poster girl, last year she became the British Fashion Council’s cultural ambassador, joining fellow fashionable representatives Poppy Delevingne and Alexa Chung. But we suspect this is the first time she’s succeeded a Scottie dog for a campaign!
Styled by accessories supremo Katie Hillier on Camber Sands, Laura totes bags for every occasion from the latest range teamed with her own classic off-duty essentials. The mustard tasselled hobo is top of our Radley wish list, and we’ve got to say we’ll be copying that maxi skirt and slouchy jumper combo to go with it. Alexa Chung Hits Chanel’s Las Vegas Fashion Bash
Oh what we’d give to bag an invitation to a Chanel soiree. For their latest celebration – the launch of the Numeros Prives exhibition in Las Vegas – the fashion house flew out the style set by private jet for a weekend of fashion fun. The opening night party was awash with Chanel favourites including Alexa Chung, Diane Kruger, Lily Collins and Jessica Alba. All were dressed in head-to-toe Chanel and adorned with Chanel fine jewellery, but each lady went for very different looks.
Alexa Chung, who took to the decks to entertain the crowd, swapped tomboy for cutesy in a pastel blue boucle mini dress and a crystal clutch, while Jessica Alba. opted for classic Chanel monochrome chic in a two tone midi dress. Daring fashionista Diane Kruger went futuristic in a high-necked sequin dress, and Lily Collins took Chanel into boho territory with a floaty maxi dress, loose waves and piled on chains.
With Karl Lagerfeld back in Paris working on Tuesday’s couture show, it was up to the Chanel ambassadors to party for him, and Poppy Delevigne, Rachel Zoe, Caroline Seiber and Leigh Lezark danced the night away to Alexa’s tunes and a set from Imelda May. We’d love to see what the fashion pack look like with a Las Vegas hangover! GG

Chloë Moretz: Last Night’s Red Carpet Star
Chloë Moretz managed to outshine her Hollywood peers once again on the red carpet last night at the National Board of Review Awards Gala 2012 in New York. With awards season looming we’d have thought the Hollywood elite would be at home pampering and hand picking the hottest dresses this week, but the bash drew one seriously starry crowd.
Attendees included Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, Emma Stone and Rooney Mara, but it was uber cool teen Chloë Moretz that got our attention. As always, she’s got her finger firmly on the fashion pulse, nailing the coat-as-dress trend spotted on many a catwalk and fellow fashion maverick Alexa Chung in laser cut silver Marc Jacobs. Letting the popping Miu Miu resort coat stand out, Ms Moretz opted for subtle matching glitter strappies but added a playful touch with her aqua nails and jewelled hair slide. Perfection! GG

Alexa Chung Goes Space Age In Marc Jacobs
On anyone else, a shiny silver laser cut coat and co-ordinating heels may be a celebrity fashion no-no, but this is Alexa Chung we’re talking about, and the outfit in question is hot-off-the-designer catwalk SS12 Marc Jacobs. Yep, Alexa Chung isn’t all about girlie smocks, breton tops and brogues, as she proved at an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in New York yesterday. Not only has she convinced us that double metallics are doable, we’re also considering a serious return to the pointy shoe – as well as Marc Jacobs, they made a comeback in designer fashion collections at Louis Vuitton, Erdem and Sportmax. Though perhaps not the best footwear to attempt American football in, eh Alexa? GG

LOOK Loves: The Boy-Meets-Girl Fashion Trend
Suffering from sparkly party dress fatigue already? Fear not, girlie and frou-frou isn’t your only wardrobe option this Christmas. Chloë Sevigny and Rose Byrne both stepped out in off-beat androgynous fashion looks yesterday, and provided us with some major style inspiration. Chloë Sevigny went all out masculine in a loose fitting suit, but added feminine touches in her signature quirky way with a dogtooth check blouse, red lips and matching bow-topped platform courts. She brings new meaning to the phrase city slicker, eh?
Rose Byrne kept it a little more girlie and figure-fitting in cigarette trousers, a polka-dot shirt and patent pumps. Her all-important styling trick?
