Kate Moss Kicks Off LFW At Her Rimmel London Party
Who better to start London Fashion Week SS12 with a bang than Kate Moss? After we popped down to London’s Claridges hotel yesterday to check out the super’s first high-street beauty collection of personally designed lipsticks for Rimmel, we couldn’t wait to get in the Fashion Week spirit at the after party later that night – especially when we heard Kate Moss would be arriving by helicopter!
Cue hoards of fashionistas hotfooting it down to Battersea Power Station to celebrate 10 years of Kate Moss and Rimmel. While we waited for Mossy to fly in, we were treated to champagne, fish and chips, and a DJ set by fellow Rimmel ambassador Solange Knowles. Then the lady of the moment made her entrance, wearing a little black dress and those signature Christian Louboutin pointed court shoes, topped off with a slick of her favourite Kate Moss by Rimmel lasting finishing lipstick (No.1 FYI) With Kate just metres away – eek! – we danced with celebs including Georgia May Jagger and Bonnie Wright to Beyonce tunes and a killer performance from The Noisettes before heading home to get some much needed fashion week rest before it all kicks off this morning. Beauty Tried And Tested: The Best Quick Dry Nail Polish
Tired of spending ages waiting around for your nails to dry? Then LOOK's very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Rose Harper are here to help, as they've found four quick drying purple nail polishes to put to the test...
Beauty Editor: This deep aubergine purple polish looks slick but only after 3 coats, which means quite a bit more drying time… You decide whether this statement nail is worth the wait or not. Rose: Aubergine is my favourite kind of purple so I was looking forward to this one. It dried in a minute but I did find I had to apply more than two coats to get the intense colour, which defeated the point. Beauty Score: 2/5
Beauty Editor: The polish is exactly the colour of the bottle and the fan shaped brush means it applies so smoothly with zero fuss. Plus the perfect shade with winter knits. Rose: The colour and brush makes this my winner. It dried within seconds, and I only needed one coat and was good to go. This has definitely earned its place in my make up bag! Beauty Score: 5/5
Beauty Editor: This luscious violet really is on trend for this season, and what’s more two coats will be dry in seconds. Vampy perfection. Rose: I’ve fallen in love with violet, it glams up any outfit be it day or night. It dried within a minute clump free! Hooray! Beauty Score: 4/5

Beauty Editor: "I dusted this on over my tinted moisturiser in the morning and it kept my skin matte all day but still looked natural. A good everyday staple." Elinor: "This had a really fine, smooth texture. The powder was quite light but it lasted for the majority of the day. Amazing quality for such a cheap price." Beauty Score: 4/5

Beauty Editor: "I found this quite tricky to apply and it didn’t look very even on my skin. It kept me shine free all day though, so it's great for oily skin types." Beauty Editor: "Once you get over the initial weirdness of putting white powder on, this product is brilliant. Completely transparent and gave my skin a beautiful finish." Elinor: "I loved this product. It reduced any shine and gave my skin a healthy glow. It lasted throughout a girls’ night out and I didn't have to keep retouching every five minutes!" Beauty Editor: "The perfect product if you want a good coverage but make sure you tap off the excess powder before applying to stop it looking cakey." Elinor: "I ended up wearing more of this than I wanted because there was no powder tray, which meant that some product was wasted. It had a smooth and silky texture but was a bit on the thick side." Beauty Score: 3/5

Rimmel London has announced that Georgia May Jagger and Coco Rocha are the two new additions to their successful Rimmel family. Georgia and Coco will join forces with Kate Moss, Lily Cole and Sophie Ellis-Bextor as ambassadors for the British leading make-up brand. Georgia May Jagger was delighted with the news: "I am thrilled to be the new face of Rimmel and to be representing such a fantastic brand. Coco Rocha has featured in campaigns for The Gap, Balenciaga and Dolce&Gabbanna and was also delighted about her new job role. Rimmel is such a cool brand, the makeup is innovative and you can have a lot of fun with it.
