Vote To Bring Back Your Fave MAC Products!
MAC cosmetics lovers, listen up! The gorgeous make-up brand are creating a brand new collection, but this time they're handing over creative control to you! Yes, you heard us, until 30 March you can vote for your favourite limited-edition shades from the past and bring them back for the new MAC by Request collection. You can choose from six Lipsticks, six Lipglasses and six Eyeshadows in 18 iconic shades on MAC’s Facebook page. Then, the three with the highest number of votes (one from each category) will form the MAC by Request collection, which goes on sale online in October. Check Out MAC's Collaboration With Marcel Wanders
MAC continue their collaboration with industrial designer Marcel Wanders on a second makeup collection. The range consists of four lipsticks and four lipglosses in shimmery, wearable shades, a blusher brush and two shades of sheer powder. Wanders has also produced a solid perfume and a clutch-style makeup bag, pure indulgence for any MAC fan!
We're totally crushing on the angular silver packaging, it's sleek, desirable and will look great on any dressing table. IOC

LOOK Loves: Beth Ditto For MAC
News just in ladies – Beth Ditto, Gossip singer, is the latest celeb to collaborate with beauty giant MAC, and we can hardly wait to see the final collection. Known for her quirky sense of style, (head-to-toe lycra suits and all) we’re expecting lots of summer-ready brights and quirky designs. But hold your horses as the collection isn't out until June. We know we’ve still got a few months to wait but it’s definitely a date to get in the diary! Our favourite muppet (no offence, Kermit) is launching her very own eye collection for MAC – yes, it’s the super-glamorous Miss Piggy! To celebrate the release of Disney’s The Muppets, in cinemas from 10 February 2012, Miss Piggy is launching her three-piece eye collection, which consists of her must-have beauty essentials – a liquid liner pen, a pretty pink eyeshadow and some fluttery false lashes. If you’re loving the fetish fashion trend at the moment, you’ll be over the moon with this super-hot beauty and fashion collaboration! Of-the-moment fashion designer Gareth Pugh has just released a limited edition make-up collection with fashion-forward high street make-up brand, MAC. The guru of geometrics has been busy creating this amazing neo-gothic beauty collection, which includes quirky nail lacquers, extreme pigments, easy-to-wear eyeshadows, seriously cool violet and berry lipglosses and more (prices range from £13.50 to £60).
Not only are these high street beauty products totally drool-worthy but, after two years in the making, no detail has been left untouched – even the packaging is lined with Gareth's signature androgynous monochrome print. Sultry, smouldering smokey eyes are something that every girl needs to know how to perfect. Step forward Cher Webb, MAC Cosmetics' senior make-up artist, who treated us to a private make-up tutorial backstage in the MAC tent in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge at V Festival 2011. Cher gave us a really simple step-by-step guide to creating one of MAC’s four special festival looks, ‘Smoke Coco’ – a really dark, sexy eye with a shimmering golden highlight – which was a real hit with the VIPs and celebs who had their make-up done in the MAC tent. Daisy Lowe’s V Festival Beauty Products Revealed…
If, like us, you were left wondering how Daisy Lowe managed to stay so picture-perfect at V Festival 2011, then this one’s for you.
Yes ladies, we did some digging around the MAC tent in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge and got the inside scoop on what high-street beauty products the MAC Cosmetics team used to achieve Daisy Lowe’s flawless make-up look. Here’s MAC senior artist Caroline Donnelly's step-by-step guide on how to get her celebrity make-up look and which beauty products you need...
- Step 1: Start by prepping the skin with Studio Moisture Creme to hydrate the skin.
- Step 2: Buff in MAC Face & Body Foundation in C2 all over the skin to give a sheer finish. Use MAC Pro Longwear Concealer where needed.
- Step 3: Set the foundation with MAC Prep + Prime Pressed Transparent Finishing Powder.
- Step 4: Sweep MAC Peaches Blusher onto the cheeks and up to the temple.
- Step 5: Comb through the brows with MAC Clear Brow Set.
- Step 6: Take a brush to sweep Blacktrack Fluid Line across the top lashline and wing it out at the corners to create a dramatic eye.
- Step 7: For a natural finish, apply MAC Lip Conditioner SPF15.

Dionne Bromfield And Bip Ling Rock Hot Pink Lips At V Festival!
If you were lucky enough to hit the Virgin Media Louder Lounge at V Festival 2011, then you may have been treated to one of the exclusive makeovers by the professional beauty team over at the MAC tent. One of our favourite looks at V Festival was über-bright pink lips with a matte finish. We got the inside info from two of MAC's senior artists, Neil Young and Caroline Donnelly, on how to create the look, as seen on Dionne Bromfield and Bip Ling...
Bip Ling (MAC senior artist, Neil Young)
- Define the lip shape using MAC Magenta Lip Pencil, £10.50, and fill in with Show Orchid Lipstick, £13.50.
Dionne Bromfield (MAC senior artist, Caroline Donnelly)
- Apply MAC Reflects Glitter onto lips using a firm brush for precision, and use tissue paper to catch any spillage. Follow with MAC Pink Nouveau Lipstick, £13.50.
- Finish the look with MAC Magenta Madness Pigment, £15.50, gently patted on top for a velvet finish.

Pixie was treated to the cute daisy artwork backstage in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge by the fab MAC makeup team, and teamed her daisy print playsuit with a Dolce & Gabbana bag and gold Office brogues.
