Get Alesha’s BGT Wardrobe – On A Budget!
The Britain's Got Talent contestants weren't the only ones upping the ante for the semi-final at the weekend. Alesha Dixon called in the catwalk big guns for Sunday and Monday nights shows, taking to the stage in high fashion frocks from Mary Katrantzou and Gucci. First up was a popping number from London Fashion Week print queen Mary, which Alesha teamed with pink Charlotte Olympia platforms and bouncy locks, before throwing us a wardrobe curveball on the second night with a sleeker look in embellished, art deco inspired Gucci, a groomed ponytail and dainty strappy shoes.
Sadly, swooning over these pics of Alesha is probably about as close as we'll ever get to her designer hot frocks, but Lipsy are on hand to help us pay tribute, high street style, with their homages. Try layering the embellished bandeau over a sheer long sleeve top for even more of a Gucci feel, or follow Ms Dixon’s lead by choosing a pair of heels that complement out a colour on the floral dress for extra zing. Warehouse has launched their new season campaign, starring up an coming model Anna Brewster. Anna has modeled for fashion giants Ben Sherman, Aquascutum, Hermes, Links of London and Jigsaw, and features in the Warehouse campaign wearing chic peplum skirts, floral prints and must have accessories. Also hot in store are Lipsy’s mirror print dresses (big news at Erdem and Peter Pilotto), as well as miles and miles of pink at Marks & Spencer – well if DKNY, Preen and Valentino say Barbie pink is cool, who are we to argue? High street footwear lust alert! Lipsy have launched their new-season shoe collection and with statement heels, summer sandals and casual pumps all inspired by the designer catwalks it’s got all the new accessory trends nailed.
Our favourite pairs are the gold cage sandals (Jimmy Choo, eat your heart out) and the neon heel courts, which are perfect to work PPQ and Kenzo’s sports-luxe look. Can we earn a gold medal for taste in shoes? Yep, we thought so! HE
