Michelle Williams' Summer In Winter Style: Love It!
Michelle Williams gave us a lesson in trans-seasonal fashion as she stepped out in New York last night. The star braved the chilly New York weather, layering a fur-trimmed black coat over a floral Erdem shift dress with grey Giuseppe Zanotti heels. It’s not just the designer dress that’s making Michelle smile either – the actress has just been nominated for Best Actress at this year’s Oscars for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn. Diane Kruger And Dita Von Teese Go Racy In Lace
All eyes were on Diane Kruger and Dita Von Teese at last night’s Sidaction Gala Dinner in Paris last night. The annual event, where the fashion capital's top couturiers and their A-list muses gather to raise funds for Sidaction – the French Aids research organisation – is always an ultra-glamourous affair, and Diane and Dita dressed to impress.
Both went for lacy dresses – Diane in sheer-skirted Erdem and nude Louboutin heels, and Dita in scarlet Alexis Mabille Couture. While we love the fact that Dita's brave enough to work head-to-toe red, we’re not so convinced by the Carmen Miranda-inspired headgear. Hmm, we were just thinking about stashing our lacy frocks until next party season, but after seeing these two, perhaps we’ll hold off for a while… GG

Jessica Alba Nails Off-Duty Fashion
We have a major, major crush on Jessica Alba this morning, her off-duty wardrobe while in New York yesterday could not have been any more perfect if she'd tried. We literally want everything.
First up, Jessica mixed the sports luxe fashion trend with Marc Jacobs shoes and digi florals, care of those beyond amazing Erdem trousers, all thrown together with an Acne jumper and green ombre coat. We might not be able to afford the real deal with her trousers, but high street fashion favourite New Look have a pretty perfect pair at a bargainous £29.99 due to hit fashion stores soon. Next up, Jessica mixed mannish tailoring with a pretty twist, we want that coat with the sequin shoulders and the floral blouse with contrast collar. Oh Miss Alba, what we wouldn't give for a raid of your wardrobe right now. RS

Alexa Chung Goes Space Age In Marc Jacobs
On anyone else, a shiny silver laser cut coat and co-ordinating heels may be a celebrity fashion no-no, but this is Alexa Chung we’re talking about, and the outfit in question is hot-off-the-designer catwalk SS12 Marc Jacobs. Yep, Alexa Chung isn’t all about girlie smocks, breton tops and brogues, as she proved at an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in New York yesterday. Not only has she convinced us that double metallics are doable, we’re also considering a serious return to the pointy shoe – as well as Marc Jacobs, they made a comeback in designer fashion collections at Louis Vuitton, Erdem and Sportmax. Though perhaps not the best footwear to attempt American football in, eh Alexa? GG

We loved Erdem’s moody abstract printed dresses on the catwalk, so we were super-excited when we clapped eyes on this Lavish Alice lookalike. Whether you want to go ladylike with a pair of contrasting ankle-strap heels and a top handle bag or grunge it up with a leather biker jacket, ankle boots and a knuckleduster ring, at a bargainous £22 it’s set to be a wardrobe winner! LOOK Loves: Tophop’s Pink Cable Knit Jumper
High-street fashion giant Topshop have done it again and nailed one of AW11's hottest catwalk trends. From Marc by Marc Jacobs to Erdem and Tommy Hilfiger, cable knits ruled the designer catwalks, and Topshop have just the ticket to nail the trend with this cosy pink jumper. It's also available in bottle green and bright blue, but we’ll be making a beeline for the Barbie pink one to brighten up gloomy winter mornings. Get it before it goes! GG

Spring/Summer 2011 Trend: Pick Up Some Pleats
We saw a whole parade of pleats swishing their way down the spring/summer 2011 catwalks. From printed floral dresses at Erdem to metallic skater skirts at House of Holland, the pleat is having a serious moment. Luckily this totally gorge coral dress by Topshop is online now and is a little slice of pleat perfection. You might want to invest in a steamer while you’re at it, ladies – full-on pleats are not an iron’s best friend! KA

Alexa Chung Goes Girly For Erdem
London Fashion Week AW11 comes to a close today (tomorrow is Menswear day) and boy has it been a good season for celebrity wardrobe spying. Our current favourite? Alexa Chung at Erdem. The starlet slipped out of her trusty Russell & Bromley loafers and into YSL’s Palais platforms paired with a beautiful pouffy skirt – perfectly suited to sitting front row for the king of ultra feminine fashion. Even her beauty regime got an overhaul thanks to a sugary lilac nail colour. Judging from that smile, we’d say she’s already got her eye on what she wants from Mr Moralioglu’s latest collection. Note to self, paint nails purple tonight. GG
