Popstar Rihanna Turns Fashion Designer For Armani
With such a killer signature style, we knew it was just a matter of time before fashion queen and popstar Rihanna turned her hand to designing. The Bajan beauty has teamed up with fashion legend Giorgio Armani to create a capsule collection for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans, which she is currently the face of – talk about multi-tasking.
Rihanna's nailed the Armani vibe with her rocky off-duty jeans which come in a boyfriend and skinny fit, a leather biker jacket, a canvas bag and classic white tees. One is illustrated with her face, the other features her “R” logo splashed across the iconic Armani eagle, plus the jeans come with a bandana belt – a RiRi staple (if you really want to pay homage to the popstar, try tying it in your hair). Of course, Rihanna wouldn’t be Rihanna without a bit of raunch – cue the lace bralette and brief set. Delicate with a side of sexy, choose from cobalt blue or pearl grey. The collection drops in shops today and with prices starting from £28, it’s the perfect time to add a little bit of high fashion style to your Christmas list. GG

Rihanna: The New Face Of Armani Underwear
We know pop sensation Rihanna isn't afraid to pose in her knickers judging by her latest tour photos, where she sported plunging bustiers and high-waisted pants. And it seems her raunchy stage attire has impressed fashion gods Emporio Armani so much that they've now snapped her up as the label’s new global face (or derrière) of their underwear.
Rihanna will also model jeans from the label's AW11 collection, so we’re expecting lots of amazing shots of her curvy booty. The campaign shots have already been photographed on location in New York, but we’ll have to wait until September when the campaign launches to see them. If they’re anything like the ones Victoria Beckham and Megan Fox did (when they modelled for the luxury designer brand, Armani), we reckon they’re going to be seriously sexy.

She’s a pro at working flirty rocks, glam gowns and, of course, sparkle-encrusted Victoria’s Secret underwear, but we can’t get enough of Karolina Kurkova’s hot androgynous look. At today’s Momenti di Emporio launch in New York, the super’s tomboy chic mash-up of white shirt, blazer, glam skirt, mannish booties and a scarlet lip has got the LOOK team head over heels. Looks like Mad Men’s Betty Draper has sparked off yet another trend, this time in the bag department. Spring/summer 2011 bags have gone all prim and proper on us – think structured styles, feminine clasps and luxe leathers. For extra points, wear yours with driving gloves and a pussybow blouse. Claudia Schiffer Goes Glam For Fashion’s Night Out
The party continued at Fashion’s Night Out yesterday at Emporio Armani. Celebrities including Gemma Arterton, Thandie Newton and Amber Le Bon were treated to yummy cocktails and a DJ set by Hot Chip at the New Bond Street store in London. Of-the-moment boy band JLS even attended and got a cheeky photo with the designer himself – after some free suits, boys? Winning the best-dressed award, though, was Claudia Schiffer, who ditched her casual style for a glam space-print skirt and matching top with statement gold accessories. Fast becoming as well known for her fashion sense as her music career, Lady Gaga has recently collaborated with Armani menswear. This hot new look is based on her Alejandro bondage video – think black leather, flat cap and military studs. Not sure we’d like our boyf to wear this get up, but we are quite tempted by those knee-high boots – we wonder how small they’ll make those sizes? PS

Megan Fox has bagged a campaign double whammy after taking over from Victoria Beckham as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear and becoming the Armani Jeans poster girl too.
Victoria Beckham needn’t worry about Megan and David getting close on camera though - fellow footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been signed up to star in the men's ads this season. We’re not so sure we could give Megan a run for her money, but there’s no way we can resist these A-list undies! - GG

Plaits and braids have become the latest hair trend this summer.
When you think of plaited hair, it might conjure up images of Heidi or your old school playground, but this summer the plait has grown up. Celebrity trendsetters such as Nicole Richie, Mary-Kate Olsen and Lauren Conrad have all been busy twisting their hair in favour of the old school hairstyle. Sleek and classic plaits were shown at Marc Jacobs and Emporio Armani, while funky plaits were shown throughout the Richard Nicoll and Luella collection's. The trend is easy to follow as there are hundreds of ways to wear plaits - from loose and girly to smooth and sophisticated. If you don't fancy full plaits then follow Lauren and Whitney's example and just plait one side of your hair. There is no better time to get plaiting!
