Beauty Tried And Tested: The Best Softening Feet Treats
Need help transforming winter worn feet to twinkling toes, worthy of colour-pop sandals? Then LOOK's very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Amy Jenkins are here to help, as they've searched the high street to find the four best softening feet treats on the high street to the test...
Beauty Editor: I liked applying the serum with a pipette, it reminded me of chemistry lessons! It worked into my heels quickly and made them much softer. Stacey: This was a little messy to apply and the smell wasn’t very pleasant up close! After only a few days I noticed the hard skin starting to come away so I would use this again. Beauty Score: 3/5
- Karin Herzog Oxygen Foot Cream, £26
Beauty Editor:The antiseptic in this keeps feet clean as well as soothing the skin. My feet felt refreshed and looked better but I’d say this is more of a pampering treat than a long-term effort. Stacey: I wasn’t keen on the strong medicinal scent. My feet did feel soft the next day but nothing too amazing. Considering the price of it, I probably wouldn’t use this again. Beauty Score: 2/5
- Lush Volcano Foot Mask, £7.50
Beauty Editor: This looked like wet cement and the smell almost knocked me out! However, the grains felt lovely on the soles of my feet and when I washed it off, my feet were velvety soft. Stacey: My feet were left tingly clean and it lasted all day! I would thoroughly recommend this product, as it is great for pampering. Beauty Score: 5/5
- Neal’s Yard Remedies Comfrey & Mallow Foot Balm, £12
Beauty Editor: Great to rub into tired feet after a long day and it felt instantly soothing. Leave time for it to sink in though as it makes feet quite slippery! Stacey: The light, creamy texture made this the easiest to apply. My feet felt soothed within a matter of minutes and the softness lasted all throughout the next day. Beauty Score: 4/5
