Flash Fashion Trend: Techno Florals

Models backstage at Ashish and Mary Katrantzou

If you want to get noticed, then look no further. Thanks to fabulous fashion designer Mary Katrantzou (left) and fashion house  Ashish (right), this season's florals have been hyped up into super-blooms. Wave goodbye to ditsy prints and say hello to the power plants! Think super-sized buds, sequinned posies and digital-print daisies in neon shades and acid brights. This Topshop skirt and Miss Selfridge frock have hit the nail on the head and will inject an instant hit of summer into your wardrobe. Wear with navy, grey or white separates or, if you're feeling fashion forward, clash with other bright blooms for a catwalk-worthy look. One thing's for sure, shrinking violets need not apply! KA

Celebrity Fashion Trend Alert: Heritage

Sunday Girl Jade Williams with Zara Martin (left) and Erin O'Connor (right)

Heritage was a huge fashion trend on the AW11 catwalks, with everyone from Burberry and Ashish embracing tweed coats and autumnal colour palettes, and it looks like the A-list want in on the action too! Jade Williams (aka Sunday Girl) was spotted with pal Zara Martin at the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury race course rocking an oversized Mulberry bag and a burgundy blazer, while supermodel Erin O’Connor embraced countryside chic in a tweed suit and flat cap at the Ralph Lauren Rugby Tweed Run in London at the weekend. Get the look on the high street with this cute, knitted tweed swing dress from Warehouse (was £55, now £35) and this military-style belted coat from Topshop, £89. Tally-ho, ladies – we’ll race you to the shops! CS

Hot Spring Beauty Trend: Chalky Lips

Diane Von Furstenburg, Fendi And Ashish Beauty From Spring/Summer 2011

Want spring 2011 style at the flick of a wrist? The hot new trend to pout its way down the spring/summer 2011 catwalks was chalky lips. Ditch those lip glosses, this one’s all about strong shades of pastel with a matte effect. Ashish loved a lilac lip and Fendi’s coral shades were to die for. To get the look, this as-matte-as-you-like shade by Illamasqua will do just nicely, thank you. Apply straight from the stick for super-strong colour – on trend, in an instant. Goodbye winter, hello spring! KA
