The Screen Actors Guild Awards 2012: Battle Of The Black Dresses
Awards season is in full swing Stateside, and last night the Hollywood elite took to the red carpet once again for another biggie, the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2012. The dress code? Classic black if attendees Angelina Jolie, Amber Heard, Ashlee Simpson and Emma Stone’s dresses are anything to go buy. The four starlets went head to head in the failsafe shade, and boy was the competition tough!
Angelina and Ashlee both opted for dramatic creations from British fashion designer Jenny Packham, Angelina in a slinky black lame halter gown and Ashlee in a vintage style beaded floor sweeper. Emma Stone got it spot on in a pouffy Alexander McQueen prom dress and signature McQueen knuckle duster clutch, but we’ve got to say, Amber Heard gets our black dress vote after knocking it out of the ball park with a gorgeous cut out Zac Posen gown and quirky quiffed hair. Top marks ladies – black has never looked less boring! GG

Rooney Mara And Daniel Craig Strike Again
Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig pulled out all the fashion stops once again last night at the Madrid premiere of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Actress Rooney Mara continued her fashion parade in an Oscar-worthy Rodarte structured dress with a delicate polka dot print. She kept the rest of her look simple with no accessories, and with a floor-sweeper this 'wow' who needs them? She completed her show-stopping look with her signature sharp side-swept fringe and minimal make-up. This girl's edgy fashion choices are really shaking up the red carpet and are a bigger hit with us than the blockbusting film itself.
Daniel Craig didn’t disappoint in the style stakes either and looked as Bond-worthy as ever in a super-sharp suit. He accessorised with wife Rachel Weisz, in a rare joint sighting of the two rocking the red carpet together. Rachel Weisz showed off her curves to perfection in a form-fitting LBD by Alexander McQueen. We think she makes a nice addition to the Dragon line-up, don’t you? FD

Kate Middleton Steps Out Looking Stunning In Alexander McQueen... Again!
Kate Middleton stepped out with two dates on her arm last night. The Duchess of Cambridge attended A Night Of Heros award ceremony at The Imperial War Museum with husband Prince William and Prince Harry, too! Now that’s what we call a double date.
Kate Middleton showed off her shoulders in a £4,000 velvet gown by favourite designer Alexander McQueen with Prada heels, and added some dazzle with a diamond and ruby necklace with matching earrings and bracelet. Raided the crown jewels have we Kate? That’s how the Royals do Christmas bling! HE

Kim Kardashian And Sis Kourtney Storm New York
Kim Kardashian and sister Kourtney Kardashian reclaimed the streets of New York to film their second series of Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Kim is back at work after her short honeymoon in Italy with her new husband NBA star Kris Humphries, who's also set to star in the new reality TV series.
Kim and Kourtney both looked summery as they worked paintbox brights – Kim glowed in an Alexander McQueen red dress, while Kourtney wore a yellow silk blouse with white shorts. And both sisters opted for matching skyscraper snakeskin Louboutins – we wonder if their coordinating footwear was planned beforehand? Anne Hathaway Rocks McQueen At The One Day Premiere
Anne Hathaway gave us the red carpet moment we’ve been waiting all summer for last night – the London premiere of her hotly awaited new movie One Day. The actress, who plays Yorkshire lass Emma in the adaptation of the much loved book, looked elegant as ever in a cream crochet slash neck Alexander McQueen dress and clutch, and confessed that she’d been watching episodes of Emmerdale to help with her Yorkshire accent. Anne Hathaway curled up with a cuppa watching all the action from The Dales? That we’d love to see!
But it wasn’t just Anne Hathaway stealing the spotlight, we’ve got to say we were more than a little distracted by her handsome co-star Jim Sturgess, who she cosied up to on the red carpet. So, will the Hollywood hottie manage to pull off that Yorkshire twang? You’ll have to go see it for yourself to decide! We know what we’re doing on Saturday night. GG

Get Pippa Middleton's Bridesmaid Dress At Debenhams!

Anne Hathaway Hits The Red Carpet With New Girl Nora Zehetner
Anne Hathaway has had a busy year so far! She’s made a guest appearance on Glee, been a voice over in animated movie Rio, and now she’s busy filming the new Batman film with Christian Bale and Tom Hardy. Taking a break from filming her Catwoman scenes in The Dark Knight Rises, Anne Hathaway stepped out at the premiere of her new film One Day in New York. Anne wore a stunning embellished gown by Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin heels and Tiffany & Co jewellery - she’s almost dripping with designer labels!
Also at he event was up and coming actress Nora Zehetner, who looked super cute (and very on trend) in a pink and cream colour block dress. Having made guest appearances on Heroes, Grey’s Anatomy and Mad Men, we’re expecting big things, and we’re not just talking about her acting skills – Nora’s wardrobe is already looking like a who’s who of the fashion industry, with designers including Calvin Klein and J. Is Tulisa Khloe Kardashian’s Secret Style Icon?
It looks like Khloe Kardashian’s been keeping up to speed on X Factor fashion! The youngest Kardashian sibling worked the red carpet at a bash in New York in the same curve-flattering Alexander McQueen dress that X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos wore to the London auditions last week. Both girls opted for similar styling tricks, with smoky eyes, statement rings and mega-platforms – Khloe in classic Christian Louboutin peep-toes and Tulisa in YSL’s cult Tribute sandals. Kate Middleton’s Canadian tour wardrobe has had us on permanent style watch for the past couple of weeks, but the Duchess Of Cambridge pulled out the fashion big guns this weekend as she and Prince William hit Hollywood. Kate Middleton stole the red-carpet show at the Bafta Brits To Watch event in LA on Saturday in a lilac Alexander McQueen dress. Ditching her trusty prim courts for a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals, Kate Middleton’s look thrilled Hollywood’s elite. It seems she’s already made some A-list friends, chatting with Reese Witherspoon at a garden party the next day – looks like the royal couple have well and truly cracked America. GG
