Beauty brand, Ciate, (yes, the one Olivia Palermo is Guest Creative Director for) has seriously upped our mascara game with this new lash loader. Introducing The Triple Shot Mascara, £19.50…
The all-new mascara has literally taken the world by storm, after selling out in Sephora stores across the globe in just 24 hours – with one lifted off the shelves every two minutes! It’s now landed in the UK, and is available to buy in three shades, black, brown and navy blue, from CiateLondon.com.
With a cool, dome-shaped wand and lash-plumping formula, it’s designed to boost every hair and give a shot of volume and length whilst lifting and curling from the roots, for a full-fanned out effect. So when the wonder mascara landed on my desk I couldn’t wait to give it a go and see if it *really* lived up to the hype.
Without mascara my lashes are a little lacklustre, they don’t tend to hold onto a curl and can sometimes look a little droopy (lucky me!) So I’m always on the lookout for something to give me a big, bambi flutter. I gave my lashes a good five coats to establish thickness – wiggling the brush into the roots to give plenty of volume. The brush bristles are a little wide so they deposit more mascara onto each hair, great for volume, but you do need a good few layers to ensure you catch every single lash and banish any clumps. It gave my lashes loads of thickness, and I found it easy to build up from a light finish to a seriously full look, without it getting dry, cakey or flakey. But overall I was most impressed with the curl, any mascara that can get my sad droopy lashes to sit up – and stay up – is a major winner, and where most fail, this wonder wand succeeded.
