One of the most hotly anticipated shows of the year, Victoria Beckham’s spring/summer 2016 certainly did not disappoint. Her stunning collection was colourful and graphic, but it was the models flawless, glowing skin that really caught our attention backstage.
The otherworldly glow was down to a lot of skin prep (always is!) and the models were treated to Sunday Riley’s Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm (out in October), a melting cleansing balm formula that deeply rehydrates the skin and also smells divine, you use a hot cloth to remove it.
After the glow getting balm it was Sunday Riley’s toners and cleansing water, all of this was to make sure the skin was thoroughly hydrated. The makeup was kept quite low key to make sure the focus remained on the skin, but models brows were filled in and structured.
The hero product used to create the radiant, almost mannequin like skin was Madina Milano’s Chic & Shine Stick. Touted as the dew-giver this highlighter is many make up artists secret weapon to getting girls to glow (we’re ordering ours as we speak)! Although the lips were left bare, 5 models at the end of the show wore matte red lipstick. The final step to the supermodel skin was a spritz of Sunday Riley’s gel mist all over to leave a dewy finish.
Hair followed suit and was super sleek, stylists applied Redken’s new Glow Dry Oil to give the models hair a gorgeous glossy shine, then parted it ever so slightly off centre. While the ends were left free and kept a bit of texture, the top was slicked down and then tucked behind the ears.
