Cleopatra eyes are making a comeback, headed up by the red-carpet brigade.

We have to admit when we think of Cleopatra, black wigs and fancy dress comes to mind. However this season Cleopatra is making a sophisticated comeback thanks to a new make-up trend hitting the perfectly formed faces of the A-list.

Kimberly Walsh, Madonna, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera are just a few of the celebs that are taking a walk on the wild side with heavily-lined eyes.

The look can be very dramatic if applied correctly. All you have to do is make sure you get the basics right - winged out at the corners and extra dark.

If you fancy a variation on the classic theme, add some sparkle to your eye. Just make sure you keep the rest of your face plain - use a nude gloss - so that your eyes are the main focus.
