Max Factor’s New Star Wars Range Is On Another Planet

Max Factor has announced its collaboration with the much-anticipated Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and have revealed two stunning looks to show us what we’re in for!

The new range is due to launch towards the end of this year, but we want it now! However, Max Factor have given us a little tease to see what’s coming up.

These powerful yet super glamorous looks are inspired by the Light VS Dark side from the famous films and are created by world-renowned make-up artist and Max Factor Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath.

There are six looks altogether, but only two have been released for us to see. They’re designed as three pairs, with each reflecting the ‘Light and Dark’ sides of ‘the force’. Only one of them is available for a sneak peek, while the other two still remain secret. We can’t wait!

Lookin' fierce girls
The first pair that has been released symbolises ‘Droid’, the light side, and ‘Stormtrooper’, the dark side. ‘Droid’ is created with metallic gold, silvers and bronze, and ’Stormtrooper’, the ‘dark side’, is constructed with harsh, striking eyes in black and white and deep berry lips. We love the metallics of the first look and we especially love the dark berry lips, which will be perfectly on-trend for this Autumn/Winter.

The ‘Droid’ aka the light side

McGrath says: “Droid was inspired by C-3PO and I wanted her to look beautiful, with strong gold eyes and gold lips. Stormtrooper is a soldier, so this make-up look is intercut with a graphic eye. The look is structured with a very dark berry lip,” she explained, “Metallics are popular again this season and fit perfectly with the film. Take some risks and have fun with a gold or silver lip look!

It’s all very exciting, and with a clear idea of what’s to come, it definitely seems like a make-up range that you won’t want to miss out on. Inspired by the iconic characters, McGrath says she wants women to mirror their influential forces, and with those striking graphic eyes, stunning dark lips and magical metallics, we think anyone working these looks will definitely be creating a whole lotta impact!
