The Little Mix ladies are all *totally* gorgeous, right?
Well, yes. They are. But Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall still feel under a lot of pressure to conform.
And they don’t think it’s at ALL fair that some famous men seem to get away with being a lot less polished.
‘Men are completely different to women – women get ridiculed a lot more,’ Perrie, 21, tells Yahoo!
Jesy, 24, agrees: ‘100%. You never see a guy in a magazine for putting on weight or for getting too skinny, ever. Ever, ever, ever.
‘And nowadays girls like boys who look a little bit rough – a guy goes out looking like he’s slept outside for two weeks and he looks hot, if a girl did that she’d get slated. Girls are just meant to look perfect.’
Despite feeling frustrated by the issue, Jesy – who’s dating Rixton’s Jake Roche – has a pretty refreshing mindset on the way she deals with her own body image.
‘As you get older you do care less, but you never completely stop caring. Everyone cares when someone says something mean about you, but I just think when you’re younger everything is more embarrassing,’ she says.
‘You just can’t win to be honest. You either get ridiculed for wearing too much [make-up] or for wearing too little. Therefore you just be who you want to be.’
YES, Jesy! You tell ’em.
It appears as though LM all agree with Jesy’s views. Which is why they’re hoping to spread a very important message about confidence with their new single Black Magic.

As Leigh-Anne, 23, explains: ‘That’s what we are giving the girls around the world.
‘If you have a little bit of confidence you can do anything and it’s so important to believe in yourself, and that’s what the message is.’ Brilliant.
Confidence is so important for Perrie, she actually reckons it’s helped her build a solid relationship with her fiancé Zayn Malik.
The South Shields-born star says: ‘We all love a bit of fake but at the same time you have to embrace who you are and be natural.
‘If you can’t be with someone in a pair of jeans with a bowl of popcorn on your lap, looking like cr*p, what’s the point? I couldn’t bear that.’
So NOW we know how Zerrie spend their date nights. Aw.
