The Beauty ‘It’ Crowd To Follow On Instagram

10 Of The Coolest People To Follow On Instagram For Fashion Week

Want to get in on the fashion month action, but don’t have a ticket to the shows?

Well, you don’t need one to be ahead of the trends, feel like your sitting FROW side or seem as though your partying with the fash pack. But what you do need is the below list of who to follow on Instagram. You’ll feel like you’ve mingled with models at the DVF show and sat next to Anna Wintour at Chanel, and all from just glancing down at your screen. Enjoy…

1. The Model’s BFF Hair Guru: @SamMcKnight1

Sam is top of every designers wish list, he’s the ultimate hair guru for Fashion Month. He works on all the coolest shows, think Chanel, Mulberry and Fendi, and is practically BFF with all the models, he even did Kate Moss’ hair for her wedding. Follow him for selfie’s with Cara and Kendall, and amazing hair-spirition. If you want to know what hair accessory is going to be hit for next season, he’s the man coming up with the genius inventions!

2. The Brit Who’s Made It Big: @CTilburyMakeup

If you don’t already own a piece of her amazing makeup collection, after following her feed, there’s no doubt your shopping basket will be full. After so many years experience in the industry as a makeup artist, Charlotte has turned into the most sought after talent backstage. She’s super hardworking, still working on crazy shows while pregnant. Her posh London accent and fiery red hair means you’ll never miss her backstage. Her posts showcase the makeup looks before the models hit the catwalk, and you can pretty much buy everything she uses straight from her website. #Dream

3. The It Girl Designers Are Obsessed With: @GigiHadid

Meet the new girl on the fashion block. Move over Cara, Gigi is the model we’re currently obsessed with. There’s no doubt she’s connected (her family are all on the TV show Real House Wives of Beverley Hills) and her clique of friends include her pop star boyfriend and Kendall Jenner. She’s been a model since she was four, starring in a Guess kids campaign and started her runway career last Feb (the same time as Kendall!) walking for Desigual, Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier. Oh, and she’s just signed a huge campaign with beauty brand Maybelline. Casual.

4. The A List Celeb Make-up Artist: @GucciWestman

She’s Revlon’s Creative Director, wife to one half of Rag & Bone, is BFF with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore and her names Gucci. Need we say anymore? She’s famous for using little makeup to create the most flawless looks and follows a green, healthy and super cool lifestyle. When we’re not nabbing her beauty tricks we’re writing down the hot-spots she’s at for our next holiday. Hamptons, anyone?

5. The Beauty Brand With Amazing Access: @MacCosmetics

Expect MAC to fill your feed with gorgeous, glamorous and flawless photos from backstage. They cover loads of shows throughout fashion month so you can be sure that following them will mean you’ll never miss a great beauty look again. They also have this clever makeup 360 camera which when amalgamated together gives you a vision of every angle of the look, as if you were there. We’re obsessed.

6. The Backstage Mascot: @PascalPascale

Makeup artist Tom Pecheux is fabulous yes, but it’s his makeup mascot we’re loving on Instagram. Tom doesnt travel without him, so expect to find him perched on a glamorous makeup table backstage, on the shoulder of Joan Smalls or being kissed by Cara Delevingne. He may not be able to speak or move and is only the size of your palm, but boy do we want his life. Tom, if you’re ever looking for a replacement…we’re officially available.

7. The 10-Second Tutorial Blitzer: @KatieJaneHughes

Another fellow Brit that’s smashed it stateside is Katie. She’s Butter London’s Ambassador and is always ahead of the top nail and beauty trends. After starting out just as a nail artist, creating the super popular ‘floating nail art’ (simplistic shapes that are positioned randomly on the nail) she’s now turned her hand at makeup. Backstage she’s always wearing the looks from the shows, showing you can DIY, and cleverly creates, fast how-to videos for things like dotted eyeliner or ombré lipstick. Get ready to be inspired to try a brave new look.

8. The Healthy Backstage Chef: @DCopperman

You might think behind the scenes models are snacking on carrot sticks and green juice, but that’s rarely the case. Most of the backstage catering is sandwiches, crisps and crate loads of caffeine. So, model turned nutritionist, Danielle Copperman decided to change all that. Now she creates little Qnola pots of chia seed porridge, which she delivers backstage, so models can refuel without falling into a carb-coma. Last season we spotted her pots at Emilia Wickstead and Zoe Jordan. Follow her for healthy recipes and if your interested in what models actually eat (cause we sure are).

9. The Model Watch Cam: @ModelsDot

Want to see what top models are walking in your favourite shows? This feed is full of gorgeous girls backstage, having fun, looking hot and show casing the new season trends. They also throw in a few hotties from the men’s collections and FROW too. And for that we are thankful! #mancandy

10. The Model/Blogger @GizeleOliveira

This Brazilian beauty is top of every designers list to have at their show. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous but she also has a fashion blog about her crazy life, so you can really feel Iike your living like a fashion week model through this colourful and super stylish feed. She’s forever travelling!
