Taylor Momsen rocks heavy make-up at the launch of Anna Sui's 'Gossip Girl' inspired collection for Target. Strong eyes and lips is usually a beauty no-no so we find out how she made it work.
Momsen sported a vintage rock tee and leather skirt, accessorised with a funky mix of jewellery. The casual, thrown together clothes are key to pulling off the look and notice how her wavy hair doesn't look too 'done'. The eye make-up is slightly smudged and a smear of copper shimmer in the inner corner opens up her eyes. If you fancy giving this a go make like Taylor and use something less harsh than black, an eyeshadow is better for this than liner pencil. Blues and violets look great on brown eyes, smoky grey works well with green eyes and brown will make blue eyes really pop. A hint of gloss on the lips also helps to tone down the strong colours and another tip for nailing this look is to keep your base really simple and fresh.
