Nicole Richie Just Made A Kim K-Style Hair Confession

Pssst. Nicole Richie has a beauty secret for you.

The 33-year-old has revealed how often she washes her hair – and it may surprise you.

‘I only wash my hair once a week, don’t judge. I’ll just get into the shower and wet my hair, but I don’t wash it with shampoo,’ Nicole tells Into The Gloss.

We’ve gotta say, we’ve never noticed Nicole’s hair looking anything less than ah-mazing. And that’s become she’s got some clever tricks to keep her short ‘do fresh.

‘On the weekends, I soak it in raw coconut oil and slick it back for two days. It just looks like product. My hair responds well to it, and it’s easy,’ she continues.

‘I personally believe that the less you do with your hair the healthier it is for it.’

Nicole isn’t the first celebrity to speak about giving their locks a break from shampoo and conditioner.

Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian told fans that she only washes her tresses every five days. Like Nicole, she’s also got a system in place to ensure she stays looking flawless.

‘We start out with a blowout on day one, then we go into a messier vibe the next day,’ she said.

‘Then we flat iron it and do a really sleek look on day three since that requires a little oil in the hair. Day four could be a slicked-back ponytail, and on the fifth day is when you wash it.’

Interesting! Would you give it a go?

‘I was a 19-year-old idiot when I got this tattoo on the back of my neck. You can see it now with the short hair but people aren’t asking about it, which is nice,’ she says.

‘I haven’t gotten a new one since I was 21.’
