Meet The New Generation Of Blurring Bronzers

If there’s one product in my make-up bag I always reach for when I’m having a dull skin day (which, let’s face it, is almost every day) it’s my trusty bronzer. With just a swipe I can give my complexion a much-need perk up, transforming grey skin and giving it a sun-kissed, healthy glow. But finding the right bronzer can be tricky, too shimmery and you enter disco-ball territory, too matte or chalky and you can end up looking patchy. Well, the search for your bronzer soul mate is officially over, because you can’t go wrong with these new clever cream bronzers.

Bourjois and YSL are both launching genius cream bronzers that also have hi-tech blurring benefits that instantly smooth skin, leaving it flawless and sun-kissed. Bourjois’ Sun Illusion, £9.99, is ultra-light and moussey so it’s easy-peasy to blend (it’s hitting this week so make sure you keep an eye out!). YSL’s Les Sahariennes Blur Bronzers, £31, comes in a chic gold compact and comes in a whopping 7 shades, so you’re guaranteed to find the right hue to flatter your skin tone. It’s doesn’t launch till the 27th May, but make sure you mark the date on your calendar, because you can guarantee they’ll sell out in no time.

Both bronzers are matte so give a natural tan, but the non-powder formula means you can still look glowy – plus they’re super long-lasting so won’t go patchy – yay! The best way to apply is to buff the bronzers into skin with a flat kabuki like Zoeva’s 104 Buffer, £12.50, for a full coverage tan. Or you can use a smaller stippling brush like Zoeva’s 125 Stippling, £11, for just a light glow. Concentrate the colour on the areas the sun would naturally catch, so around your hairline, cheekbones and lightly over the bridge of your nose.

Time to trade in your plain old powder bronzer?! I think so!
