We all love a smoky eye, right?
It’s our go-to look for a night out, immediately vamping up our peepers to give us a sexy and sultry vibe.
We’re also partial to rocking a subtle version of the trend during the day, swapping out our black shadow for neutral browns and creams.
But what if we told you that you could have a NEON smoky eye? It sounds kinda crazy, but it’s now a thing…
It was Lottie Tomlinson who first got us obsessed with this look.
The 17-year-old Instagram superstar – who works with One Direction’s stylist Lou Teasdale (and happens to be Louis’ younger sister) – is fast becoming one of our favourite beauty gurus.
This week, Lottie’s been busy helping out the students on the Beauty School Dropout programme, a free five-day course set up by Lou and make-up artist Nicola Schuller.

Of a pool of applicants, only 10 were chosen to participate and were flown into London from the US, Sweden, Denmark and other parts of the UK.
With Lou being her mentor, it only made sense that Lottie would lend a hand, giving attendees tips on creating how-to videos of their finished looks.
But she’s also offered herself up as a model. Yesterday’s neon cat eye was thanks to a MUA named Bea Sweet, who’d done an incredible job.
She’d used yellow and pink colour-blocked shadow on the lids and brow bone, with magenta mascara finishing off the look on the bottom lashes.
We’re not surprised that Lottie was up for trying out the cat eye – she often experiments with statement beauty trends herself.
